Yeah I would guess so.

Also what's your score on the device? I don't think it will effect anything in the game, but you never know. I recently acquired a score of I think it was 6,835 points.

Also once we get the brains (I want to see what the writing and audio has to say) I'll make a response at Malcolm. Hopefully I can lead him the wrong way.

The brains are available now !

I've played through them and am about to relay the frequencies and coordinates to Vidal.

My final score was 6177 on the save i finished.
Didn't check the others yet.

There are also 2 new audio messages :

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the first one there is just a bunch of voices repeating Malcoms name as far as I can tell

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The second one is adressed to us, havent had the time to do a full transcript yet, but i'll simply attach them to this post

Thoughts for discussion:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The second audio file imo kinda raises the question again whether or not we trust the Henry we are communicating with...
Should we warn Vidal about this or should we take the Risk?

EDIT :
I also forgot to capture 2 popup messages that came up before 2 of the brains. Would be great if someone could capture these too. Smile

Well it would appear the glitch has reared it's ugly head. I'm not getting the 18 on my end at all. I just have 7 pieces on my screen and not 8. Strange.

I've gotten the two new popup windows since Vidal will need that.

Also remember that the audio's are from the "infected" Henry.

Here's what the second audio sounds like to me

Quote:
Hello Seeker. Trust in me. Trust in us. Will they return to save us all? We'll make them return to save us all. You promised me that something as weak and pathetic as myself could be saved.

Well there are some interesting brains in this batch.

Brain 15 seems to be releated to Brayden
Brain 18 was in love with Malcolm.

EDIT: Glitch seems to be hazy. I sometimes get the 8th writing sometimes not.

Alright, First of all, here are the texts of the "FOR VIDAL" messages:

Quote:
Security threshold: 6,200,000

Quote:
Incoming Recept Align: 44.2x777.5

Has anyone emailed these to Vidal yet? If not, I'll do it.

Next, my score was 9084

Lastly, my experience was a little bit strange. Whenever I did anything that affected the clock, the result seemed to be almost random. Sometimes it would take time away, sometimes it would add time. Sometimes it would change the time by as little as one second, sometimes it would change it by several hundred. I literally had my time go from the 300's to the 800's to the 200's and then to -66 (causing me to lose). I think this is a manifestation of the two Henries fighting over the difficulty of the levels.

Also, I normally don't pay much attention to the memories as they flash across the top of the screen, but I couldn't help but notice that quite a few of them came up as "undefined' written just like that with one quote and one apostrophe. A glitch in the Flash, possibly?

I already did that.

I know about the time. It was surely strange. Just think how the last two levels are going to be.

I would suspect a glitch. I've been having hiccups on this batch also. (Mainly with the writing.) But I don't think I did with memories. Though like you I don't pay attention on what the say when they flash by.

Edit: Does anyone have anything they want to ask or say to Malcolm? I was thinking of at least compressing all of our thoughts to one post. Then I'll make the post.

well I still can't get past brain 13.

when I try it on firefox, I can't pick up any of the 'help me' pieces and I have to force the window closed to quit. (what i mean by that is: after I give up, the game keeps going and the window doesn't recognize my clicks to try to close it out. so to end the game, I have to force quit firefox altogether)

when I try it on safari, the green bar slows to a crawl and I never have enough time to do anything.

these seem like technical issues. plz fix.

It's too bad the iDGi folks don't seem to have an OOG way to contact them. If they did, you could just talk with their IT guy(s). It sounds like it might very well be some issue with your individual computer that would need to be resolved, since none of us are experiencing the same problems.

Personally, I will say that I am using Internet Explorer on Windows 7 with 8 GB of RAM. I normally use Firefox, but, out of the blue, it started refusing to load interdimensionalgames.com. It wouldn't even start to load the page at all, it just kicks me back to the last one I was on (or about:blank for a new tab). It's never done this for any site before, but IE seems to load it fine enough. I will say, though, that even with my ridiculous amount of RAM (although, in order to use Flash, I use the x86 version of IE, so it can only see 4 gigs of it), the iDGi website can still have a tiny bit of lag sometimes, and some other programs on my computer seem to run a little bit more slowly while it is open. Don't ask me why.

Big reply from Vidal.

Quote:

Hello sir,

Thanks as per usual. You've been a really big help with everything so far and I just wanted to personally thank you for that!

I apologize for such a long email here but I had to get this all out to someone. It may as well be you =-) I'd really like to know your opinions on what Thrie and I have gathered since the message from Malcolm.

First off those are some interesting bits of information from Henry. I'm not entirely sure why Henry wants the Security Threshold changed but the Incoming Recept Alignment makes sense. I guess when it comes time to do the final testing, we'll see what difference these all really make.

So I have beaten only 15 and 16 but I think I have a theory on what the hell is going on with regards to losing time again on kills. I was personally getting seemingly random results every time I pretty much did anything. One kill I got a little added time, another kill I got NO added time, and then another kill I got like negative 700. These results occurred when I killed red pieces, killed memory squares and also when replacing my greens.

On top of that I noticed the speed of the red attacks fluctuated after every time I died, as well as how many kills were needed before the special attacks popped.

To start with I thought you were right - I assumed with the alteration made by Greenberg to his device, that we would not again see negative time with kills. Apparently either Greenberg was wrong OR (more likely) because he's now gone and both versions of Henry are fighting for control of the device, his change has been messed up. Perhaps he had to monitor this change to ensure it would never change back for future brains? Hell, maybe whatever Greenberg did was something that required a physical change to the device, for each subsequent brain... and with Henry now giving us access, this physical change became impossible? What do you think?

Also I think the fluctuating "rules" of the game are a direct result of no Greenberg being present to monitor anything. From Malcolm's insane post, I'm wagering to guess the two Henry's are literally going head to head and causing everything to go completely whacko.

As for whether or not things are safe to discuss over the forums. You can be safe in the knowledge that anything under the Discussion With Vidal Desertch category is perfectly safe. We've learned a lot about how they are accessing our forums and whether Henry (or Malcolm, or anyone else) can read each others categories is unknown - we do know for sure that every connection from their world shows up on our servers as having no associated IP address. My category is inaccessible by anyone without an IP. This is more than just the accounts being created with no IP and no approval from us. We can actually see and/or block when they connect to the various threads and read/post to them.

Lastly some wild speculation on what is happening over there (after discussing Malcolm's post with my brother over some beers last night):

What if the "virus" we've been cleaning was merely a distraction? Implanted originally by Shaw, it was created as a way to mask what he was really doing and also push out the "non-infected Henry" entirely, to ensure he could not help Greenberg? From all accounts we've seen, the virus turned Henry completely insane. OK. But what if the virus was only surface deep, an "alternate personality" that was created to distract Greenberg and us, while Shaw slowly indoctrinated Henry's actual personality to become a Guardian Church nut? (or Guardian Child I suppose is the correct term) Shaw then helped Greenberg create his device because his job of indoctrination was complete and the virus was ready to be removed... to reveal what was underneath.

I would not be surprised if Shaw's original plan was to magically come up with a fix-all for the virus, and take all the credit for removing it. But then Greenberg decided on the device and Shaw just played along. He had no idea that we'd be receiving the realignment codes... no idea we'd be doing anything other than remove the mask to reveal the "new" Henry underneath.

As for the non-infected Henry that has been guiding us and helping us... this becomes a little sketchier and speculative. Malcolm said, "An unexpected piece of the machine's consciousness is stopping me from destroying the device created by Walter Greenberg." What if the original Henry, who at first hid the realignment codes within the brains before the virus took hold... actually hid himself within his own subconscious? What if he found a way to disappear from sight, and then through the removal of the "virus," he's gradually been able to return to us. Although, as his messages seem to indicate, he's not powerful enough to stop the Church influence which is changing his entire being.

Lastly what frightens and even confuses us the most about Malcolm's latest post is this line right here (from apparently the non-infected Henry): "Malcolmmm is right. He WILL find a way of bypassing my control ovvver this facility. He WILL gather ennnough influence to do as he pleases… to subseqqquently unleash hell on Earth. Nothing can be done abouttt that now, buuut while this instantiation may be lossst… there are still others to beee won."

What... the... hell? What do you think of all this? Any other ideas or thoughts from you or your people? How do you plan on approaching a reply to Malcolm, if any?

-Vidal

Well he's probably still sorting through the emails, but I had sent him one later about how to deal with Malcolm. I'll see what he says about that then compose a message.

I'll probably be trying to dissuade him that we're getting the codes of course. If that does not work then I'll think up something else.

I got in huge trouble the other day from my boss lol. apparently our IT guy was looking through websites people have been looking at and shit, aaaand he found I was spending hours on here, the forums, the idgi site itself when i should have been ahem "working". Woops! so i'll be quick lol and look into everything you guys have been talking about when I get home... on my shitty slow home laptop. sigh.

so anywho here's an advantage to me having been around since nearly this whole thing first started yp. The team page has a guy named William Dunbar who is their "public relations and support expert" guy. I recall him being an OOG dude as at one point he contacted someone regarding a bug they had found and signed the email William Dunbar. Maybe try him? I'm not suuuure where to find his email, but it's worth a look??

There is the "support" address you get by clicking on the "contact" link on the home page (Which goes to Will), but I've never been sure whether it's in-game or out. You could try, The worst that could happen would be that you got another "We cannot control the Greenberg Device" message.

so since i can't do the brain game right now, I went back to look at project b6. man its been a loooong time since I looked at that page!

so it *looked* the same (even had the same countdown) but I don't recall all the sounds being there? Like the piano sounds that come on as you hover over the symbols, and the occasional distorted radio sounds that get loud and then go away? is that stuff new or was it there before but I just don't remember...

and sublimetime: sorry you got in trouble for this!! it's not worth it lol

More reply's from Vidal

Quote:
Haha - well I wrote my other email before reading this one =)

I've responded to parts of this email with my own wild speculation in the last email. But one thing in particular - "Plus he doesn't seem to care that we might be getting the cords form the device." I think he does care! He's trying to shutdown the device and ensure we don't get any more realignment information. Malcolm is clearly inside the K-1 facility now and the Church loving side of Henry is helping him fight us and the weaker non-infected side to Henry.

Thankfully Malcolm has so far been unable to shutdown the device and so instead he's working with his side of Henry to make the device as difficult as they can. I think it's the only power he has. This may give us a chance to be HONEST with Malcolm - we don't need to lie anymore, but at the same time we can tell him to go screw himself. We need to trust the non-infected Henry who seems to think the codes are ALL that matters. I think at this point it comes down to getting more information from him. In my mind there are quite a few GAPS in his logic and the things he is saying. And he seems much more likely to "tell us the truth" now that he thinks he's won... kind of like the bad guy telling the hero his plan just before he thinks he's about to kill him. =)

Although I am worried with both him and Church Henry saying that it's "inevitable" that Malcolm will gain full control of the facility and will carry out his plan. Where does this leave us? If we clean the brains fully and Malcolm is then given full access... and he decides to cause "hell on Earth"... then we're all screwed and none of this matters.

Thoughts? Oh and as for brains 15 and 18... yeah I'm definitely wanting to find more for these two in particular. Keep en eye out on those for sure.

Alright well I'm off to meet the wife for some lunch! TTYL

Quote:
Just wanted to quickly reply here as well. You know you are absolutely right on all fronts. Especially with regards to Shaw. the biggest hole in Thrie and my theory is exactly that - why the hell did Shaw bail when he did? Why didn't he stick around to see the whole thing through?

Maybe Shaw is indeed still in the facility. Hell maybe he was still there when Greenberg said he was gone. It wouldn't be hard to hide from Greenberg in such a facility, with very little workers still around.

Also yes, the virus definitely would have done some things they didn't expect. Like the gassing for instance, that is absolutely pretty bizarre. Although the gassing could have been planned by Malcolm and/or Shaw. This merely so they can clear out Greenberg and lead the way for Malcolm and co. to take over the facility. Easy enough solution.

As for the line you quoted from the audio - the "Brayden assured me Walter's device wouldn't work" bit. What if Brayden was lying to the infected part of Henry? Telling him what he needed to know, so he could get his "help" in fighting against the device? Total long shot but it's worth thinking about.

And as for your last paragraph, you have a VERY good point there. It would make a-lot of sense that with us back into K-1, we'd be able to fight Malcolm and his insanity from the inside out... and hopefully even prevent him from "unleashing" a totally messed up version of Henry. That word does indeed mean instance, but I still think the statement in general is a little too vague to make any real conclusions from it just yet. As usual, speculation rules the day =0

OK now I'm really headed to lunch!

And i've posted at Malcolm. We'll see if anything comes from it.

Nice post there, but you probably shouldnt tease Malcom too much, since he´s at least as crazy as Greenberg was at the end Wink
Also it somehow seems that Vidal only replies to you via mail. I recently sent him 2 mails to vdesertchSPLATinterdimensionalgames.com and he did not answer yet, whereas he responded to two of your mails already.
Of course there is also the possibility that had didnt have time to look at my mails yet, but at least one of them was sent before your mails he replied to.

I´ll also risk some wild speculation as to the development of the story :

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Let's assume for a second that the Guardian Church's beliefs are based on a true prophecy or at least that the rumored Guardians exist.
If we also take into account Henry/K1's timetravel and interdimensional powers and our influence on it's future, one could draw a pretty crazy conclusion:
What if WE are actually the Guardians the church believes in?
From here on out, there are several possible variations :
1.
Maybe using the latest batch of alignment coordinates will open a connection further to the past (of another dimension?) and allow us to direct the development of Henry in another way? (although the implications of actual timetravel in the game would be pretty confusing)
OR just the fact that the versions of us (from their dimension) were involved in K1 in their past triggered the formation of the guardian church in their dimension somehow!
2.
The beliefs of the Guardian Church are only based on a prophecy, BUT we are the Guardians the Church speaks of (are we not actively working against the destruction of their world right now?)
Although I doubt we could convince Malcom (or anyone else from the church for that matter) of that fact.

Ok, finally got a response from Vidal about the big link:
Quote:
Sorry for the lack of reply until now. This email seemed to slip right past me (my inbox is admittedly a bit of a mess).

To be honest I never even realized the size change until seeing this email. After speaking with Alienmelon, the size increase is actually a left-over artifact from an esthetic change she left behind when she attempted to change the size of ALL the links at the top of the main site. Once she changed them she realized it was going to require much more work than originally anticipated.

So I apologize for the confusion but that was definitely us! In the near future you'll probably notice the change will appear across all the links, as well as a size change to the information boxes when objects are selected from the sat view. All apart of an upcoming revamp of the main sat view, taking into account comments and such from the public over the last year and a bit.

On a related note, the upgrades to iDGi-1 by the Greenberg Device have subsequently opened up a multitude of possibilities for us to more easily simplify the experience playback on the other side. This of course will allow those just joining us to catch up to the present with relative ease and without missing a beat.
