Just thought I'd post the MissionIcefly.com source code, since it's not up here yet. Maybe there's a lead in there somewhere? At the least, we can watch for changes. Sorry in advance; it's long.

I live in Central Phoenix and will be attending whatever is happening when I get off work at 3:30.

I'll take as much video as I can from my droid.

Comic-Con

Hey guys....

So our "answer" is looking pretty much dead on now with the new letters, cheers to those who figured it out early on!

I'm looking up other Portland reps to coordinate with, in hopes we can track down any "special package" folks for our area... it's slow going, but I will report back if I find a fellow for fellhawke's blue package. That and set-up a rendezvous for the 30th.

Comic Con: How many of us are going to be in attendance? I can tell you I will be there for all 4 days plus the preview night (with the early in time for Industry/Professionals) I'll be keeping a pretty good record of my activities at Comic-Con and can assure you I will record my findings if this ARG goes into Comic-Con. Baring them not allowing me to, I'll try and record anything I see/do and post it to my YT channel.

If anyone else is going, as it gets closer we should coordinate a twitter following so we can triangulate meet-ups in the event of a ARG-related event at SDCC. If we know whose going early, we can plan ahead.

Anywaaaay.... here's hoping I get a shiny package in the mail tomorrow!

Hi people! Now check out in the source code the line beginning with <input> and ending with a long, long mysterious code that I accidentally didn't manage to post when I asked about it. Smile

Also, dammit! They accidentally missed out Budapest, Hungary from the city list! Why the **** did they send me the package then? Very Happy

hey all, just caught up again... a little saddened not to see Toronto in that list, but ah well.
So after sifting through the many pages I've missed out on, it seems not much actually has happened - just a lot of speculation and discussion, right?
As for moving to chaotic fiction, again this has been a very linear campaign (without much semblance of a story to date) which has topically been fine in a single thread. N&R might sound like the wrong place for it, but IMO at this point really it doesn't need to expand into multiple threads. In theory, the first post could be kept up to date with the official events and info so people know what the current status is, without having to sift through 60 pages of discussion. Razz

Wonder what'll happen on Thursday?

In theory ... lol. I disagree.

If this is the build up to an ARG for a new movie then there will be lots of internet stuff for us folks who don't live in the States to get involved in.

According to fellhawke the packages will be coming after the 30th, so whatever's coming it won't be a US exclusive.

I still have the poster I got from the Flynn Lives Arcade Aid site and some of the badges and the postcards.

There is need for an introductory post for all players and potential players. 60+ pages is getting a little overboard.

BTW some comparison for fun. Attachment is done by me in Paint to show what it originally looked like.

This last one is retrieved from Mission Icefly website, so it gets updated.

EDIT: New attachment is me pre-completing the whole thing, again in Paint.

Also, it's wonderful that we know the cities but... they are huge! Even if we expect the event to take place when the countdown hits zero and so we got an exact time, how do you know what location to go to?

(Except that probably closer coordinates will be provided by the ARG through Fellhawke or www.missionicefly.com or via email or phone.)

I think the way 42E managed a race in 27 cities worldwide on February, 24 2010 for Flynn Lives (ZeroHour) could be a good benchmark here.

Perhaps Fellhawke is a region leader, being as there's no listing of Monroe, Louisiana. Like perhaps he has the general southern cities (Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, etc.) and there are other unknown people who have their blue envelopes.

Somebody mentioned Millennium a while back, and it's been said that Chris Carter was planning to "reboot" the series, if you will, with a film version. The Millennium Group's motto was "This is who we are", & the thought of human preservation by finding those worthy sounds a lot like the Group. But I may be dead wrong. I'm just throwing ideas at the wall.

I'm pretty sure he simply answered the quiz in a certain way that the PMs were looking for. Nothing more, nothing less. It had nothing to do with his location. He got lucky.

re: blue envelopes - take that report with a grain of salt.
IF they were sent out, and IF people were told not to tell anyone, THEN it's not something we should be concerned about, at all, AND this fellhawke has essentially broken that agreement by telling people about them.

There's nothing else yet pointing to this individual's reports, so, IMO, let his report stand as is: unsubstantiated rumour.

Anything we need to know, we will know, via official means Wink

I've been listening to it with headphones, nothing differs.

I get sick for a weekend and fall behind and look what happens! Dallas is only three hours from me but there's no way I can make it up there this week. Sad I saw somebody here is from Houston - anyone else in Texas? I'm in Austin!

I do agree that the 60+ pages in this thread make it hard to catch up with, especially since sometimes there will be 10 posts or so about something irrelevant to the (potential) ARG... so yeah, an introductory/catch-up post would be pretty awesome.

I would love to be able to help, but my moment of brilliance ("Those sure look like city names missing letters!") wound up being resolved a couple of pages later, and now I'm twiddling my thumbs wondering what I can do...
