IF they were sent out, and IF people were told not to tell anyone, THEN it's not something we should be concerned about, at all, AND this fellhawke has essentially broken that agreement by telling people about them.

There's nothing else yet pointing to this individual's reports, so, IMO, let his report stand as is: unsubstantiated rumour.

Anything we need to know, we will know, via official means Wink

Thank you thebruce. I've been trying to find a way to express my feelings about what fellhawke has told us. You put it perfectly with unsubstantiated rumour. I could not have said it better.

marczellm: Nice find! I attempted to find this onTwitter awhile ago and couldn't. Until you posted the link, for some reason, I was still having trouble finding it with a regular search. I guess I am not very good with the twitters. Smile

Also, I find it somewhat humorous that there WAS a Wiki page about MIF, but it was deleted. Hehe.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_Icefly

EDIT: So, I don't know anything about the 'behind the scenes' stuff on the internet, but I clicked around on the main MIF page and found "referring link":
http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.missionicefly.com%2F&h=7414f

Ofcourse, this just leads to missionicefly.com, but I found it odd that Facebook is referenced in there??

I find it funny because everything I did was "hmm let's see if there's a twitter account www dot twitter dot com slash missionicefly bingo!"

What do you mean by clicking around? Where did you find that?

Thanks for echoing something I'm thinking. I had no reason to doubt till I checked into a couple of things...

Anyway, I'm just going to fall back onto the old adage of "Pix or it didn't happen."

Well, I right clicked on the black area under the cities, and then selected
"view page info" and it was listed under the "referral link".

However, I just attempted to do it again, and it no longer says that... so, maybe I was trippin'?

Have you seen this?

Link:
Human Preservation Project, or: Take My Identity, Please!

Quote:
They want to know who you are. By creating a login account, you're then redirected to make a 'badge' by uploading a photo and entering your physical mailing address, full name, and date of birth. Suspicious, to say the least, but I gave up my information willingly. Why?

Because they promised me a role in an upcoming ARG (Alternate Reality Game). All it takes to get vital information that could be used to access bank, email or porn accounts is to promise a person that they'll be involved in something special sometime soon.

After completion, they ask that you await further instructions through regular mail. I'm assuming the badge that I created will be shipped to me and/or I'll be buggered in my sleep and then made to disappear by a new me, one that will buy Take 5 gum by the palate. We'll keep an eye on this, assuming I'm still here next week.

I don't mean I agree, but I find it funny.

I don't want to be mean, but the more I think about this the more I think fell_hawke is just bullshitting us. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but his posts come off a lot like cold reading. He doesn't really tell us anything we haven't already figured out, and he's deliberately vague on everything else.

He tried to take over a galaxy. One world isn't much of a problem.

meh, believe what you people want. I don't really care to be honest. I have other things that I need to focus more on than keeping up with this anyway. So many people doubt me than fine, I'm through with this ARG crap. I got real life things I need to focus on. It's been a trip but I'm not gonna waste my time on people who don't have trust for something I say. I know I said earlier that its whatever, but after reading those comments, I'm done. Peace Out.
