Is it just me or is Alex's living situation a little fishy? I realize that part of Slendysickness is a lack of need for money, allowing you to wander the American South buying film and hotel-rooms without the need for a steady job but it seems unlikely that Alex lives in both the Amy/Jessica house and his own apartment. But him living in his own place doesn't square with him having a box with his old camera in his girlfriend's place. One OOG explanation is that it's just trying to jam some loose ends together on the part of the creators, in the the narrative demands that Alex's girlfriend finds the camera and that Alex have a place to wake up on his own. But there's also an in-game explanation: Alex wanted Amy to find it. All of Alex's friends have gotten the Slendysickness, maybe he's trying to infect people. I realize that it's just an off-the-cuff remark but it just doesn't make sense to me.

I really think we need to look back at Alex's early behavior in light of this video.

I don't think Alex is trying to infect his girlfriend.
If he was, why would he help he run? And why would he bother hunting for her after he wakes up alone, without her?

He might not be actually looking for her, he could be lying about that in order to lure another person to the Operator. I don't really believe that, but just for the sake of argument Smile

If you still think Tim or Alex = TTA, then none of the posts have had any plot significance since entry 40. Looks like we're back to arguing over who the guy outside of the car is, guys!

Is there a thread where we speculate on timelines? I think that when we get some questions answered, like in this entry, it's good to look back on all the events and see how it all applies.

Alright, To be completely honest, I've not read all of the pages. As I was brainstorming with my girlfriend about the timeline that this video has revealed to us. In doing so, we've come to some.... Interesting conclusions, if we're correct that is.

This video, according to jay, is footage from dates close to one another. Thus making the timeline at present (Excluding videos I didn't feel necessary to theory) as follows:

1: Jay goes to house, meets Alex. Rock meets Timasky's Leg. Alex says he'll call Jay.

2: Alex calls Jay, tells him to meet him in the park. Jay sleeps in car in order to not miss Alex. And as a result another cameraman videos Jay in the car.

3: Jay is a moron. Walks a few miles into woods he doesn't know.

4: Alex finds Jay, and Jay goes to a hotel. The day afterwards, they go to Jessica/Amy's house. After knocking on the door yields nothing, Alex drives Jay back to the hotel and ends up at some woods. Wherein, he meets a fine slender fellow who is far to overdressed to be in the woods.

5: Undisclosed amount of time, ranging from at least a day to perhaps months.

6: Alex wants to take Jay deep into woods. As he tells a story which sounds as if it could be an origin of slenderman story.

From this we had to ask ourselves why Alex would lead Jay into the woods, after Jay had a very close encounter with the Operator and Alex had as well. It seems to us that Alex has more information now than he did previously, and that walking directly into the woods after these incidents had to be a direct attempt to lead Jay to the Operator.

There are holes, naturally. They could have been more prepared, or going after the Operator. But Jay seemed unsure in the video of why Alex was leading him there. Assuming Alex was not under the Operator's control prior to that encounter, I think it's fair to say that he is now.

Where would Entry #29 fit into that is our next question to ask.
I really want to see the rest of that entry where #6 on your list happens.

#6 happened in a way...when Alex was telling that story about the burning criminals in Rosswood Park...

I think that happened quite early in the reunion between J and Alex...because J only had his handheld camera and would have been freaking out a bit more due to the events in 40

Entry 29 is at some point after 43 since Alex still had the chest cam at this point...I think they'll have an entry leading up to 29though since it seems pretty crazy...

Does anyone remember off hand which Entry had Alex and his girl jumping out the window? I want to compare the interior to the exterior.

That is very true. Hoodie was someone else. I can't wait for THAT question to be answered.

I'm not sure if it's ever been said, because I'm a bit lazy to look through all the pages at two in the morning.

But the way Alex was walking towards the Operator at the end of the film seems fishy to me.

My current theory, like a few others, is that Alex is under the operators "spell".

But, what if, Alex has, previously been under the operators spell?

Tonight, my friend Erin and I were trying to remember something and ended up going back and watching Entry #22. She proposed a theory.

At the end of the entry, Alex is talking very slow. He is telling the camera that there is no one left. That he is burning the tapes. And going home. He says it almost zombie like.

What if he was forced to say it?

Edit: In Entry #22, we see Alex looking towards the left of the screen before the "hand" shadow appears. This is the point where Alex's voice appears to go "robotic".

I don't find anything in his behaviour that would immediately be inconsistent with a normal relationship. My own roommate from back in college had a place with me and several other girls, but for a good part of the semester she was actually more-or-less living at her boyfriend's apartment with him and his roommate. She would leave all manner of nonsense over at his place, and if Alex weren't keeping a particularly close watch on his old camera (not a bad thing if you're attempting to forget all about a terrifying and traumatic incident from over a year ago) there's no particular reason it couldn't have ended up in a random box in her closet.

The above assumes he's looking to his right.

Does this remind anyone else of Prometheus from KAblam?

You're taking certain things as a given, e.g. it can't be Amy because she wasn't involved!, without any evidence of that. You're ignoring that our narrator is not reliable and taking his word as fact. Your arguments for excluding other people are based on faulty logic, or OOG info when this is all about IG discussion.

The point: assumption is not the same thing as fact, and disputing assumption is not the same thing as ignoring the plot.

Yup, it was. I was kind of hoping that the interior shots would somehow indicate that it wasn't the same window, but the geometry seems to work out.
