The spoiler was my first thought with it. I saw it and was like, "Oh, his apartment is a little lean-to on the edge of some woods. That's not the smartest of locations...

For reference:

"Sidetone" has a code that spells out LIES over Alex's voicemail, which we hear later when Jay is on film apparently unable to get ahold of Alex. "Fragments," right before this, showed a torn picture of Alex with "You are broken/you cannot be fixed."

Theories proposed for the two videos include that 'I'll call you back' in the voicemail is the lie, and that the torn photo implies that Alex is dead (audience: probably Jay); that Alex lies, and TTA is taunting him by calling him broken (audience: Jay and Alex); or that TTA is telling us Jay is lying about not being able to contact Alex (audience: anybody who might be thinking of trusting Jay).

Nifty thing about this series: how damn easy it is to make any given piece of the puzzle support your own theory. It's twisty!

Isn't that the point of speculation? To use what you know to try and support a theory?

I thought at the begging that the house was going to be this Entry's focal point, especially when Alex pointed out the window as the escape route form Entry 26's video. I even thought for a moment that Slendy was going to pop into frame when J zoomed in on the window.

And yes, during the end of the video, I initially thought this too

My thoughts exactly. It answered a few of my questions (Who the hell Jessica was, how she was related to the Marble Hornets crew, the house). But now we are stuck with Alex. I honestly don't think that anything else should be argued over since the implications of Alex's encounter are mind-blowing. The stuff with Jessica are just facts.

Well...actually why couldn't Alex have been living underneath the overhang? If he is truly working with The Operator(and The Operator seems to have a special interest in him) this might be a normal thing so that The Operator can exert whatever influence to whatever end over Alex

Hrm? I'm not knocking you. I'm offering up (for reference) where 'lies' and 'broken' came up, because there was some confusion on it. And because it's vague, the other theories tied to it. The comment on twistiness is my own amusement at how almost everything can be interpreted three different ways.

Man, I'm not usually jumpy after a video, but right now there is some wicked wind and it keeps setting off my motion light outside my window, always have to peek to see WHO might of set it off.
