Maybe the wafer cards are like space food sticks. Mmmm...space food sticks.

I went to the local planetarium when i was but a child, and I had the chance to eat some space ice cream. Not the most delicious thing in the world, but not the most vile either.

But it was neopolitan, so the tri-color aesthetics were rather pleasing to the eye, even if the cardboard goodness of it was not completely pleasant to the palette.

Marc, any word whether the wafers are anything like space ice cream? And if so, can I have distribution rights to the Canadian Planetarium Association? This would go over big with them! Very Happy

Hey man, if anyone knows anything about failing in the humor department, it's me.

Oh, the avatar? It's standard issue when you join unforums now. I haven't had a chance to change it yet Wink

Stating the blaringly obvious, but that's my specialty...

The reason photocopies or printed scans would not work is because they would be on *opaque* paper. The actual wafers are on *transparent* plastic.

The ability to see *through* the wafers must therefore be necessary (or at least important) to the trip.

Lurk Mode: Reactivate.....

more glaringly obvious stuff

thus the SPEC I made about holding the cards up to the monitor on the web site... tansluscent plastic + light shining through = neat things... well thats my working proof anyways...

maybe that would explain why Marc told a blind person that the trip wouldn't work if you cannot see the wafers.

I'm still thinking you need to "take a walk" with them and experience the world *thru* a wafer. But that would work better with a transparent card and not transluscent paper. I'm being a purist when Marc says you don't really need a computer at all.
