I can see where you're going with this, how do we know that Alex wasn't Slendernapped before he met up with Jay? My only response is that Alex doesn't look like he got rained on while waiting out in Rosswood Park (it's raining in the car when Jay and Alex are driving). I presume there should be a little timestamping on the files, but there's no way to get this confirmed without having Jay tell us directly that the timestamps match (and he's never given us that info).


Same shirt, same weather; yes. I just feel like his tweet earlier that day is hinting at something and I'm playing with it. There could be a bit more, but I guess we have to take it at face value for now. Still, wouldn't hurt to tweet the question.

On the issue of Alex having knowledge of the Operator's location, it is notable that Alex goes in a direction that no other entry has shown anyone going in. Every one of Jay and Alex's other documented trips have shown them going through the clearing toward the Nature Trail to Hell. It seems the Operator appears anywhere he wants in Rosswood Park. Maybe Alex choose this spot because it isn't a popular place. In the Entries in the 40's, there are many places where people could show up and relax at the park. Alex enters the forest through a small hole. It's sheltered and hidden. Maybe Alex knew the Operator would come for him anyways, no matter where he showed up. I don't think it's about how he knew where to go, it was just a matter of not being followed and seen.

 		The way I see it, Alex went into the forest to try and get answers or information of some variety.

He's wearing the chestcam so that he can record what goes on after he's in Slendertrance land, and we can see that he is anxious about going into the forest beforehand, because he KNOWS the Operator is going to be there.

I think he lied to Jay to keep him from stopping him/slowing him down. Imagine if you told a close friend of yours that you were going to walk into a forest where an interdimensional stalker superbeing was waiting for you, possibly hostile, who has in the past demonstrated the ability to fling people to the ground in seizure like coughing fits and wipe their memories. I doubt Jay would just let him go with an "Ok, be careful, see you later."

 		when alex hits the ground the pounding noise goes away for a second and you can hear someone say something but it's inaudible to me even with good headphones on

I agree with the chestcam part. I think Alex is trying to get answers about the Operator and is using himself as the test subject.

But at the same time, I think it's incredibly foolish of him to risk himself like that when he is STILL trying to look for Amy. Or maybe he has found her and can't rescue her, so he's trying to find any clues? And he's dragging Jay along for a second pair of eyes?

I think if you check a few pages back there is some sort of sound clip cleaned up. Could that be what you are talking about?

It pains me to agree with Bawwing but if you watch that clip in motion you can see that, even though it's dark, there are definitely trees. At first glance the trees look different till he immediately pans to the side you can see the tree line is the same. I thought it was teleporting too at first.

Without a doubt foolish, though admittedly, we've seen Alex do things that I would call foolish in the past (Chasing the Operator through the woods at night, walking around in dark creepy basements where the Operator, known or unknown to him, was residing, etc...)

Far fetched: Knowing that the Operator has influenced the disappearance of people before, perhaps he was hoping that by giving himself up to the Operator, he would be taken in the same way, and brought to Amy by the Operator himself.

 		So after watching it here's what I think.

Alex has been secretive since Jay just found him again. What I think about the forest is that he went back there to look for information about Amy. I can't remember if he ever said where he came to and started remembering things after running from Slender. What if this was where he came to after when running from the Slender man. He might think that Amy could still be around there.

Alex didn't tell Jay because he doesn't want him to know everything and that's just the way Alex is. Even before during the first season he was like that. It's just his nature. HE doesn't trust.

While I do see the trees in there, there is no physical way that it works like that. If you look at it when Alex is a little farther away from the gap, it's very clear that it's a 'tunnel' of leaves. Alex walks maybe a foot, and looks up. There are tall trees that cannot be seen from the outside (not counting the gap) and the rest of the plant-tunnel is gone.

However, I'm familiar with Sony Vegas (which Troy uses to edit) and it's quite possible that the video of the trees was superimposed over the gap, and it near-seamlessly faded into the 'interior' forest scene.

Note that the view of what's beyond the gap goes black just before Alex enters it, which would be a way for making the edit easier/smoother.

Looking at the pictures -- I'm sorry, but it's too bright outside to not see some of that light through the hole -- because if the tendrils of grass are the only thing that's blocking the space -- as Alex doesn't walk through another set of them on the other side -- then there should be more light visible to show the way through the "hole in the hedge". It doesn't have to be "teleporting" per se. Maybe J edited it to get rid of a buncha trudging through the woods. Hell if I know. But that tunnel doesn't suddenly open up on the other side -- straight through no less -- at all. There's just not enough light to prove it does so.

Please post some pictures. I don't see what everyone else is seeing.
It's not really a "tunnel of leaves". It's just a hole. In a bush. There is overgrowth that is basically surrounding the forest. If someone can prove to me with screenshots from the video, I will gladly change my mind but I don't see anything that would make me believe otherwise...

 		to put some things to rest:

it's possible that the operator teleported alex near the cave (seen by the quick switch in scenery) similar to how he teleported jay in entry 40. we've seen the camera cut to new locations a few times throughout the series. it's possible that teleportation exists.

the park he is in is still rosswood, you can see the white house in the background. he knows slendy will be there because jay told him slendy was in there in entry 42. alex wanted to find him, this much was obvious. i still think alex willingly walked into him at the end and wasn't under his control. he knew that going into the park was a bad idea but he did it anyway. he entered that area and waited and looked around, as if he knew slendy would end up there. he didn't say anything to him.

if alex IS a minion, then he is aware of it at least, and sees some significance in being a minon shown by his hesitation to enter the park and then going in anyway.

jessica is amy's roomate. alex does not live with them. alex says "her roomates car isn't here," not "our roomates car isn't here"
