I'll be trying to back you up! I'm currently in Austin (and super sad that there's no way I can make it up on Thursday, but it's simply not possible for me).

I am very familiar with almost all of the north Dallas suburbs, the northern part of Dallas proper, and select patches of downtown, East Dallas, and the midcities.

My expectation would be North Dallas or downtown? Do you have any idea where you'll be starting off, tagruato?

@tagruato: If you would like to meet up I'll be at union station, and then at Founder's Grill which is a block away waiting for the countdown to end.

If anyone else would like to meet up with me then that will be fine. Just say here if you would like and I'll PM you my skype and Twitter. I won't be able to meet up with anyone most likely as I'll have a strict schedule I have to keep, and also I can't drive. So yeah. It's all on foot for me. So i'm hoping it's nearby to where I am.

I've actually never used Twitter before, but I can set up an account if that would be convenient to trade news! Is Skype your preferred means of communication? I will be at work providing support so I have limited access to IM/PM/etc. tools, but I will do what I can.

I'm new to participating in ARGs (especially for ground drops) but I'm very excited so that has to count for something.

Oh, or if it's easier, we can always communicate via text messages? I'm not sure exactly what sort of coordination will be necessary, but let me know what you think you'll need and what the best way of reaching you guys is if you have questions and I'll try to open appropriate lines of communication.

I am based out of Dallas and will join in. I guess I am a little confused though... while there are cities listed below the mission ice fly thing.. that doesn't mean that there will be an event right at the time the mission becomes active right?

Hey Dallas area ARGers! I just registered today and plan to be on the ground tomorrow. I do not have a smart phone, only an iTouch. If I can find wi-fi, I will try to tweet my updates, if I have any.

Howdy!!

I was looking at what 42E did for Flynn Lives, even created a map to see if there was a discernible visual pattern to their drops. No Joy. Here's the map, maybe you'll have better luck.

* From what I can tell, they do stay within the city and won't bleed into Mesquite, Lancaster, Irving.... etc. Even the suburbs would be pushing it.

* Of the cities I looked at, the drops were usually south (southwest) of the city center so if you are hanging out near NorthPark Mall, it's a risk (I'm not saying you'll be wrong) just giving you a heads up.

* The drops were usually at intersections/ outside.

* The intersections were often not of any significance. (PDX, ORD, NYC being exceptions)
