I think I found the answer. As you can see in #43 clearly when Alex is getting mind-raped by the operator, the bracelet is blue and black in the form of WAVES. Yes, the water aspect. The bracelet is what slenderman uses to control Alex. It all makes sense now.

also slendy looks smaller in this video because his arms are longer than usual. cut off the arms and he looks just as tall as he did in 40

And citing the DVD sales here is spectacularly irrelevant since the DVDs are of season 1, which wasn't released in HD on DVD. If they could viably commercially sell season 1 on DVD without making it HD, they could do the same for season 2.

If they are filming in HD now having made a conscious decision not to previously, that can only mean that the reason they didn't film in HD during season 1 no longer applies. That reason is that the Operator's costume would have let you see the guy's facial features. But now you can make out facial features. The only explanation is that whilst it would not have been appropriate story-wise earlier to be able to make out facial features on the Operator, there is some story reason now which means that the facial features now need to be visible.

All you say about the capabilities of the team as filmmakers is true, but that just makes it more likely that the facial features being visible is deliberate, not less likely. Again, the guys have proven themselves to be serious sticklers for detail, and there's numerous ways they could have obscured the facial features had they wanted to. If they didn't, it's because they decided not to.

Again: other Slendyseries have made HD videos with less obvious facial features on the Operator. It is more than possible to obscure those features if you know how to do it, and the MH guys clearly have the skills and doubtless have a better budget than those other series. There's no way this isn't intentional.

 		also no other slendy series has the operator as close as we did in 40 and 43 outside of mlanderson0 in HD.

for the third time: if they wanted him to gain facial features in game, why just start doing it now? it's less than 3 weeks after we saw slendy up close in entry 26 and he had no facial features whatsoever, and all that happened between 26 and now with slendy is that he's kidnapped amy. sure, maybe they intended for the facial features to be there, but only as a cooler costume design, not because he's fucking absorbing faces.

and you need to learn that not everyone is going to agree with you and that you shouldn't continue shoving your opinion down someone's throat as if it's fact. i'm all for arguments but not when you act as if what you're saying is a fact and everything else is wrong.

 		now that that's settled: if nobody wants to decode the audio, can someone at least tell me how to rip a video from youtube/extract the audio from it so i can do it

Not sure about audio extraction, but I like to use www.keepvid.com to download youtube videos.

 		Alright. So, I just watched this entry and I'm a bit confused.

Jessica was finally mentioned. Awesome.

Jessica is the roommate of Alex.

Alex is currently living in an apartment. Does this mean, at this point and time, Jessica is also living in the apartment? And considering Alex mentioned that after he jumped out of the window with Amy he woke up in his apartment and couldn't remember anything, wouldn't that mean during the events of #26, he was already living in the apartment with Jessica?

Amy is the girlfriend of Alex? And I'm a bit confused because I thought Alex was living in the divided house with Amy, considering she found his camera in her house.

...I'm all turned around, ahaha.

i'll triple post all i want. i don't know what forums you grew up on but i'm sorry that they tied you down with such rules. how am i being hypocritical? he's bringing the HD thing back up again after stating his opinion multiple times already. we've heard his side of the argument, but at this point he's trying to convince us that he's right and we're wrong. three times back and forth is past an argument imo. i don't have a problem with the guy at all

jessica is amy's roomate, not alex's. alex doesn't live with them (confirmed by saying "her roomate" instead of "our roomate." we don't know where alex lives. amy and alex are dating. i think alex might have been in between moving and was just keeping some stuff at their house or something, it's not really that important.

KeepVid also has a "download MP3" option now. Probably a good way to just snag the audio right out and not deal with separating it from the video.
