Welcome to the board! But yeah, the creators have confirmed that Alex's middle name doesn't start with an R, so there's that at least.

I do think that whether 43 happens before or after 38 bears some investigation. Mainly because where it falls in the timeline will do a lot to help us figure out Alex's motivation for leading Jay into the woods.

Don't feel bad. I make it a point to try to not pay attention to any OOG stuff, so I didn't know that about Alex's middle name either... I just knew it was rejected 'round these parts. Laughing

 		Long time lurker, first time actually posting. I'm not sure where I stand exactly on everything, But one thing I am seeing a lot in this is about the new "face" of The Operator. I think that it IS intentional, but...Not for storyline reasons. Like a few have been saying, They're shooting season 2 in HD, so the old Operator probably wouldn't work, because they didn't have the lower quality to hide the details.

 		I think we can chalk up any time Alex has been missing to the same thing effecting Jay. Both of them have massive blank spots in their memories. Jay's to the point he doesn't even remember being part of the org. movie to begin with. So it's safe to say that they've been both hit by Slendy's mind wipes since before the series even started.
Alex was probably "Blanked" for two weeks, and is just now trying to get his bearings. He may not even understand WHY Jay is with him. For all we know, he woke up at the parking lot with Jay, who told him about the video "he" sent later.
Alex not telling Jay where he lived is a valid and genre savvy thing to to do; would *you* tell the guy who came back into the picture a year after all the crazy stuff happened where you slept? When his coming around has restarted all the hijinks? Nope!
I also kinda doubt Alex was in anyway under his own faculties after dropping off Jay. He cusses out Jay for going into the woods, and smartly considers it a bone-headed thing to do. He wouldn't just head back into there on his own for no reason.

I don't know where I stand on the facial details being "intentional" or not, but I must admit I'm having trouble with the lack of post-production that could be done to obscure those details if they wanted. Not even talking about in-game video distortion - though its absence is quite noticeable - so much as a simple blurring of Slendy's face in the OOG editing process. If it's not meant to be something we're supposed to be drawn to then it's sloppy, and "sloppy" isn't an adjective I normally associate with Marble Hornets.

Well, you're forgetting 2 major things:

1) As far as we know, Alex sent the tape to Jay and knew that he sent it. When they drive to Rosswood Park just after they meet up, Alex says he sent it and points out "you're not exactly hard to find."

2) Because these are still the videos from the safe, we can't know the exact order that these Entries are coming in. This might be before Entry 41/42, and so the whole Alex cussign JAy out may not have happened at this point.

 		Ok, so I've finally got around to watching this after seeing the Tweet while I was on the train a couple days ago and promptly forgetting Evil or Very Mad

Yeah, but didn't you know that you need to spend all day and night decompiling the audio to discover that it was an orchestral track played backwards. And then someone else will research the biography of Beethoven and discover that he actually started losing his hearing in the late 1790s, which would suggest that if they chose that particular Beethoven symphony to add to the video that perhaps our heroes will lose their hearing over time from the exposure of The Operator. Furthermore, Slenderman will have gained their ears.
