Has anyone thought that the correct answers could be a phrase?

btw

My current answers:

Decoy: Deception
Ascent: Rising
Blameless: Perfect
Misguided: Lies

Closest I could get it to make sense. It did ask to correct its sentence, after all.

Working the paper/token angle...

"Paper token" is a phrase that can be used to describe a type one-time use password as detailed here: http://www.quuxlabs.com/blog/2010/09/paper-token-gutenbergs-version-of-one-time-passwords/

That is interesting.... but nothing like that shows up for the other two images.

For what it's worth, the quotation at the bottom of the home page is a twist on Socrates' "The unexamined life is not worth living". Not sure if there is any significance there.

Guesses for word association:

Decoy: Salvation
Ascent: Symbiosis
Blameless: Trouble
Misguided: Structure

Where did you see that Moshpet? Smile

Also, I did ask in the Huge TSN post, but on topic;

Did anyone from UK call and leave a number? Is it worth it?

I answered "scarecrow" since it's a decoy, misdirection (misguided), usually it's ascended, and really blameless, unless you are thinking Batman. =p

It says there are no correct answers, only questions.

What if that statement is to be interpreted as "There are no correct answers, only correct questions." and not "There are no correct answers, there are only questions."

Whatever it means, I hope there's no limit to the number of times you can call! You'd think more calls would mean a more active/heightened mind, right? Razz

I like your answer Aesculapius. I wouldn't have thought of one response for all four words.

Goofing off I left them the message "What is the Matrix?"

Cuz, you know, what is the right question, and that led to freeking the mind.

I'm mothafoeing Neo. XP

"Thank you for calling the Traelek Institute, celebrating its
25th year of operations. Please listen to a word association quiz
that we issue to new students upon matriculation: DECOY. ASCENT.
BLAMELESS. MISGUIDED. What do these terms illicit in your mind's
eye? There are no correct answers, only questions. At the Trealek
Institute, we believe that the pursuit of sensory data is its own
reward, so check back at our website if you have any fresh impulses
as a result of the quiz you just sampled. Goodbye." [beep]

"5" - "Invalid extension." [beep]

"6" - Made a weird noise... just a short little hiccup of a sound clip
that sounds kind of like someone inhaling sharply. Then it seems
like it's waiting for some kind of PIN number or command. I've
tried a bunch of combinations, always resulting in: "The number
you have entered is invalid."
You get three tries, then:
"Goodbye." [disconnect]

"7" - "Invalid extension." [beep]

"8" - "Invalid extension." [beep]

"9" - "Thank you for calling. To speak to a representative,
please press "0"."
[repeats]

"9" >> "0" - "Thank you for calling. Please leave a message,

"0" - "Thank you for calling. Please leave a message, and
your call will be returned as soon as possible."

by pound. If you are logging into your main extension, press
pound now."

"#" - Starts the main message over.

Notables:

"There are no correct answers, only questions"... Maybe we are supposed to be asking them
a question, rather than trying to offer them an answer?
Pressing "6" during the main message offers the option to input a passcode of some kind.
Pressing "9" offers the opportunity to speak to a representative... but it still leads to a voicemail.
Voicemails can be marked "URGENT," "CONFIDENTIAL," or both "URGENT AND CONFIDENTIAL."
Attempting to access the "main extension" results in the "extension locked" message.
The numbers "5", "7", and "8" are always "invalid."

==

I didn't list all of the combinations I tried for "6" because, quite frankly, I tried just about anything
and everything that I could think, and I didn't want to flood the boards - I'll leave it to you guys to
try things out yourself unless someone really wants to start an exhaustive list. I know that some of
this has already been posted, and I apologize for the re-post, but I wanted to create a complete
comprehensive list to go by.

If anyone finds something that I've missed, or if any changes are made, please quote and edit! Smile

Since I'm running low on ideas, I let voice actor Joh StJohn speak for me.

Yeah, no more joke messages tho. They'll think I don't care hahah.

Add: Also, very cool that someone transcribed this. Didn't know you could hit zero.
