Hancock Park was developed in the 1920s, by the Hancock family, with profits earned from oil drilling in the former Rancho La Brea. Hancock Park owes its name to developer-philanthropist George Allan Hancock, who subdivided the property in the 1920s.[1][2] Hancock, born and raised in a home at what is now the La Brea tar pits, inherited 4,400 acres (18 km2), which his father, Major Henry Hancock had acquired from the Rancho La Brea property owned by the family of Jose Jorge Rocha.[3]

Hancock Park activists were also instrumental in the passage of a 1986 Congressional ban on tunneling through the neighborhood. The ban, sponsored by Congressman Henry Waxman, prevented the Red Line Subway from being routed along Wilshire Boulevard through the neighborhood.

i agree with someone else in that the QR codes are only portions. the image is labeled "qr9.jpg" and if you took a regular QR code and divided it into 12 that part would fall into the #9 spot.


if this is a piece of a QR code then i would have to say this isn't 1/12th of a QR code, it's more like 1/4th
compare the piece we currently have with another and you'll see:

 		Okay so earlier I tested out a theory with hopefulmemories and it turned out those of you who had thought the numbers on our penta pictures were the way we answered questions are correct.

Reading back the answers to her from my sequence it turned out the same penta picture I currently have sitting on my badge. If that means anything to all of you I'll let you decide but now we know those with the same sequences have or should have the same ending file number.

 		I'm still slightly hopeful that it's an ARG based off of the next Batman movie (The Dark Knight Rises). Ice Fly = Mr. Freeze Very Happy?

I don't think Freeze is rumored to be part of the new movie, but Ra's al Ghul always did say that he wanted to purify the human race, and maybe that's what this project ice fly is?

And to back up this theory, the TDK ARG used a TON of out-of-house sponsors. The first that comes to mind is Dominos (which powered http://www.gothamcitypizza.com). I don't know, what do you guys think??

 		Did some more research, it is just a proxy server run by amazon, it points somewhere else. The ip is registered to germany, so maybe there.

 		Under my log files, I only have "Prelude" listed and I can't click to view it...

...what gives? Am I missing something? I really want to read the supposed comics.

ETA: Also just chiming in that my envelope was silver and LED flashed blue/white. Just got it today.

As for videogame theories--what about Gears of War 3? I'm struggling to think of things that ice flies might be related to.

Yup, that's already been explored, but it's buried way back in this thread, so I don't blame you if you missed that conversation. XD

I wouldn't say "most," more like a very vocal subgroup. Bungie has already gone on record for denying being involved with it (I think a lot of people saw "42e" and "icefly" and went "ilovebees!").

True. But someone made comparisons on the material of the package and the material used with Halsey's journal's packaging. Both were sent through the same website (which sounds more coincidental if anything).

I miss the older Bungie that would never confirm or deny anything until it was obvious one way or the other. They were more fun back then.

I also noticed (while possibly a coincidence), that both packages were sent "US Postage First Class," both using stamps.com. But as I said, this could be coincidence (though it may not be since it seems Bungie has sent both).

So there you have it. That's my finding's for the day. I think the Halsey journal/Human Preservation Project using the same package is pretty damn convincing, but tell me what you think. I'm pretty sure this isn't a 5 Gum campaign, but something to do directly with Bungie.

I just said that. I said that a while ago. -_-'

Anyways, I believe that 1 = first question, and 2 = second. If someone has a balanced penta, that means that they answered all the questions the same.

Hurm, that's a very interesting read! I would have to dispute it, though- a while back in this thread, when people were first getting packages, a member came forward saying that the LEDs were identical to some LED pet toys (or collars?) available at where they worked. I also recall someone saying they knew where to find identical bubblewrap, but I may just be recalling wrong. Basically, a lot of these materials are fairly inexpensive and relatively common, so it wouldn't surprise me if two companies that once worked together would use similar stuff. Thanks for sharing that, though! It's always interesting to look at past work to try and help predict patterns. Smile
