(I also think there's an applause due to Amy's mom for giving a wonderful-if-short performance in that scene) Although I doubt there's any genetic passings-down going on. Amy doesn't really show much of a family resemblance after all. What's the deal with Amy's dad anyway? Has she talked about him at all, I can't remember. It's definitely hard to trust the things she says anymore, now that we've seen that she deals with tragedy by pretending it never happened.

Oh and about the hike through the forest: does that take place before or after the dinner scene? At first glance it appears to be chronological, but if that's so, then why don't they askabout the car that they randomly discovered? For what it's worth, the explanation Amy(?) gives that's hard to hear is "My uncle gave this car to my cousins whenever [my grandmother] passed" So are her cousins missing as well then? Hmm

Oh and the forest is changing its geography on them. Lovely.

I'm glad you wrote all this cuz I wasn't sure what to spoiler (still ain't).
I'm guessing there is some Slendy appearances too in those pics or some kind of something fucked up and tragic (was there mention of a fire?can't keep my vlogs straight sometimes).I gave Amy's mom kudos on YouTube comment and also will agree with you and do so here.She seemed very natural and I told my partner if I didn't know I was watching fiction,I would have totally not batted an eyelash over her "performance".That is in no way to diss anyone else or to be read into.
I also was noting how homey Amy's mom's house looks and normal and cozy and I say it that way because to ME,who grew up in the midwest not far from where some of the places they have filmed and grew up very lower-middle class (that level still existed back then),their apts,scenery,lifestyle etc echo more the reality of my life than some of the other Slendy vlogs that feature other types of surroundings and domiciles.
i was so hungry when watching this entry and SOOO wanted one of those hot dogs Amy was eating!! *drools*
To ME--there DOES seem to be a family resemblence between Amy and her mom--I can totally see it.I have been having a hard time keeping some vlogs straight--but if I recall rightly--Amy has made sporadic references to her dad and her mom has been having a history (amped up lately) of trying to talk to her about the past and the truth and one of the main subjects is her dad and at first I think they may have said that he was killed in a war or something (please correct me if I'm in error and prolly am).But recently--her mom revealed that there was some big tragic secret regarding Amy's paw and as you said--Amy has been staying in denial.
I am not certain about the whole chronology of this entry cuz it's hard to follow and I think they meant it to be--like in a disconcerting/disorienting way.They seem to be looking for something or someone and when they go to the car,Amy mentions some nuances I didn't catch all of--but it used to be her grandma's and it seems either an uncle or cousin got it but now it's been abandoned there.I didn't catch if grandma,et al,were Slendy-napped or what--but Amy is also an unreliable narrarator for reasons you cited.
TJ is carrying an ax and the dog's with them and though they are enjoying the scenery and what not and commenting in it--it definitely seems like they are on a 'mission'--TJ's demeanor definitely depicts this and through her energy,reactions and comments.
Then there's the distortion,blackness/vid cutting out and the Slendy-induced tell-tale coughing.Then it seems that somehow they are 'transported' from the woods to the side of the road--kind of ala EMH and TJ is livid and freaking out and what I think is noteworthy during this exchange is how TJ is mad at Amy for them going into the woods cuz it seems she didn't wanna go and it seems like Amy assured TJ it'd be ok and then it WASN'T,and at the end before the scene cuts out,TJ raises the ax as she's speaking and says angrily and accusatorily "This is YOUR fault!"
Sorry for the wall of text.I am waiting for the pics to be uploaded (you know they WILL) and I'm thinking certain things will be answered,but until then--my guess is that they saw the pics at dinner and THEN went into the woods,but they showed it out of order for reasons already mentioned.
Thse women sure know how to keep the suspense and story line interesting and chock full of high octane nightmare fuel!! Shocked

Edit:To say maybe the TJ&A Project wiki might help elucidate some things--there's SO MUCH to keep track of

 		Hasn't most of the TJA action has taken place in urban settings or in their own apartment? TJ's wariness of the woods seems to me to be more a savviness of Slenderman lore, or just general city girl's tree-o-phobia.

That said, how much do I love her for toting along an ax and a dog? So, so much.

I don't think there was a mission. The impression I got was that Amy wanted to show her around, possibly to reassure her that woods were fine. Mission accomplished!

(What are we going to see today? 'The Death Car! Nothing creepy about that! Except that it's been replaced by my grandmother's inexplicably abandoned car, my father's death has some connection to this whole mystery, and one of my exes is also missing. Seriously TJ, I don't see why you think this could have anything to do with my ancestral homestead....')

I'm in agreement with amrith777 on the house. There's an instant +2 to realism when the setting is so similar to something you grew up in.

Also, get that woman an agent ASAP. That's the best acting I've seen in a Slendervlog yet.

 		I don't have anything to add from the latest video/tweet, but I will digress to the Larissa stuff. I'm assuming that TJ hasn't watched Amy's footage yet. Do we have a means of communication with TJ? I know there's the twitter and the youtube channel, but has there been anything other way to talk to her that's been established IG?

Uhhh anyhow I had a thought the other day: Sight was taken in the 1800s, so that sort of put a damper on the 'Slendy is Amy's pappy' theory for me.
