These guys know suspense. I understand a lot of the time the people who make these videos don't have all the time in the world to dedicate to pumping them out one after another, but sometimes the ridiculous breaks between even just filler entries can be offputting. These guys have been pumping the videos out left and right and are now taking some time to get their shit together right when everyone wants to know what's about to happen.

I love it.

Well....they seem to have come to an abrupt halt all of a sudden, which sucks cuz they sure left us with a cliff-hanger.I'm still curious to see what happened after "Patrick" left Shaun in the basement and what kind of fate Eric might have met :ohdear:

I'm loving the abrupt stop, for much the same reason cemeterygates offers: it's offered up at the perfect time to build suspense. It is a great cliff to leave us hanging on, plot-wise it's a sensible point to take a break, what with our narrator passing unreliable in favor of nefarious and taking off.

I'm wondering, now that he's turned this corner, how they're picking up the next season. Will Michael still be at the helm? Will he be evil, or dual personality? Or will his brother be the new protagonist?
Raises a lot of questions...

Hey all. I'm new to, well, everything-- the Mythos, the forum, ARGs in general-- so please bear with me if I ask any dumb questions or use the wrong lingo. The acting and stripped-down feel sucked me into AJ, and I read through this whole thread. A few thoughts:

First, as to the "when was Michael Patrick?" question-- what about the wooden art model thing? It was obviously important for us to see that Patrick packed it. I know we've seen it at least once before; it was on the kitchen counter near the breadbox/knife cubby in the sleepwalking vid, during the quick-cut. Anyone remember it popping up elsewhere? Or is it just a nod to EMH, y'think? I might go back through and look for it if I get a chance today.

Second (and this is possibly where I show my n00b), has anyone searched for other YouTube channels, blogs, etc. now that Shaun took over AJ's? Maybe Patrick is showing off his handiwork; he did say he's a leader, after all.

Third, there's no way Michael/Patrick is hotter than Jeff. Very Happy amidoinitrite?

In this thread, I have noticed that pauses do bring about comparisons of peoples "Bangability List". Actually this pause in the videos hasn't really brought about as much as before. I guess everyone has made their list known...

This may be due to being up at 4:30 AM without sleep, but AJ? What? Huh? -Derps-

I think Michael may have a rival. Tyler from 5zer02.

You asked for it.

AJ = Andersen Journals. I saw some people using it earlier in this thread, so I thought that was the established shorthand here. Maybe not. Smile

And I've yet to check out 5zer02. What's the best way to go about doing so? I used the wikis for the big 3 so I wouldn't miss anything (eg tweets, totheark vids, HABIT stuff, etc.) So far, I've caught up on MH, EMH, TT, and this one for vlogs; Just Another Fool, DiD, and Seeking Truth for blogs. I started reading Make It Count and The Mystic, but I got pretty overwhelmed with the crossovers. I wasn't into the Core Theory stuff enough to search out and read all the relevant blogs. Confused

I think it's not bangability...

It's just that Michael makes straight men see rainbows.

I usually see MLA/MLA0. xD;; Not AJ the acronym. I've seen it written out as Andersen Journals, though.

Hey people, just caught up on MLA0, watching the videos and following along with this thread. Just a great series - very well produced and one of the tighter storylines I've seen thus far. Now to find the next to fill my time while waiting for updates, hmm.

But back to Andersen. Something that struck me hardcore, has stuck throughout and I haven't seen mentioned.
In "Video Journal #6 - Shaun", I couldn't get over Michael's word choice when defending himself to Eric:

"I would never, EVER hurt anyone in my family! All right? EVER. ...... I would never hurt anyone in my family. Ever."

Two emphatic statements, but oddly phrased. Eric isn't talking about Michael's family in general, just Shaun as an individual. Heck as far as we know, there is no family outside of Shaun (as his parents seem to be, at minimum, no longer in the picture). Yet it's a collective phrase Michael uses. What's more, he's so over the top adamant about it that the only thing I can think is "The lady doth protest too much." For most people the issue would be "How could you think I'd do something like that?" but Michael takes it as "How could you think I'd do something like that to my family."

As we know Michael did in fact do just what Eric is accusing him of, and yes to his family, that just makes the near-violent assertion all the more peculiar. If he was going to take umbrage to the truth, why not the whole truth rather than half of it?

I believed then - and the reveal of Patrick has further enforced - that Michael is violently unstable. I believe that Michael is in fact the one that broke Shaun's leg, and I believe that was escalating behaviour that ultimately led to Michael killing someone in his family. Perhaps another sibling, perhaps a cousin, I don't know. But I think it happened, I think he blamed it on Slendy, I think Shaun and Michael both repressed the truth (perhaps up to and including that the person ever even existed), and I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that the dead family member's name was Patrick.
