When she said "end of the day" do you think she ment end of the last axon call or by midnight tonight? im stuck at work then have school and wont be able to get to a cam or phone till later tonight so im hopeing that she will still accept pics till late. what do you think?

On another note - ruh-oh - we were supposed to be recruiting civilians for the rank and file? Hmm. Do they have to KNOW we are recruiting them?

i've been pretty absent lately. my false life (the 'responsible' one) has basically had me in its chains.

but i did send Melissa a photo for the Elite Forces with only the text "Aliens and Assassins Beware!"

The phone in Indy is on a very busy street and it was near rush hour that Melissa called. It was very difficult to hear, but I think we did alright. Frankly, I was caught totally off guard and answered some of her questions lamely. I told her I was a mechanic since I brought a little tool set as my proof. (The best I could come up with on short notice.) When she asked for examples of how I used my skills my mind went blank. The only think I could think of was the water heater I installed at my house recently. Let's just hope the Covenant melts in hot water. She was kind enough to ask for more examples and I said I maintained communication equipment and could fix bad Axons. She liked that and moved on.

Hebel2k was also there and she asked to speak with him. He gave an impressively detailed account of his abilities as a Gunnery Sgt.

Then Melissa asked for us to take a picture, for which I enlisted a passerby. We got some strange looks there.

Finally, Melissa asked me what I knew about the Killer. I said her name was Dana. Melissa said, that's right. She was thinking of eliminating Dana and asked if I thought this was a good idea. I presented her with the alternative of trying to use Dana. If Dana is strong enough to hurt Melissa, maybe we could use that to our advantage. Melissa liked this very much, but she wanted to know how we could trust her. I suggested we try a test. I suggested that if Dana could destroy the Rogue Process, then Melissa could trust her. Melissa thought that could be a good idea.

I figure Dana can use that as she pleases.

3. The largest group in a photo will be "rewarded"

V: Sure.

V: Yes.

M: Yes. Dana. What do you know of Dana.
V: Only what is available on the web site. I know that she used to control the place where you are now.
M: You know she tried to harm me?
V: When she was attempting to repair the place you are at she may have inadvertently hurt you.
M: She tried to kill me.
V: She does not see it that way.
M: I am thinking of terminating her. What do you think?
V: Many of the crew have developed a strong emotional attachment to her. It could cause. . . dissension.
M: THey would be the traitors?
V: Possibly, but not exclusively.
M: What do you think I should do?
V: If you tried to communicate with her, to turn her to our side she could be a valuable asset. She could bring a lot of new crew members.
M: Is she dangerous?
V: She's scared; I don't think she has much efficacy left here.
M: How would I turn her?
V: Empirically, she has responded well to kindness.
