if you guys do live near a costco. get your gum there. its 9 bucks for ten packs and they have hundreds of them.

came back from costco with another 10 pack... codes are perfect unlike my last batch. 5 gum customer service still do not know what is up and won't give me codes for the botched ones...

Good to hear that you found some working codes! Maybe you'll be able to get reimbursed once the people at Wrigley start sharing their secrets with each other.

Yeah I'm so glad that I finally got new codes. Thanks for all the help before too. Is this the http://www.wrigley.com/global/contact-us/contact-form.aspx contact for corporate?

What did you have to do in order to get those codes?
I'd like to try something to get codes before the packs are shipped to my state.

Target in little old Cedar Falls, Iowa has certain varieties of the gum in 3-packs with the Icefly and readable codes. I picked up React 2 and Cobalt packages with expiration dates of August 29 and 30, 2012.

Target also has a distribution center here, so it's likely that these packages will start showing up in more Target stores shortly as soon as their supply of one of the flavors begins to run out.

Found some multipacks at Wal-Mart, and some "lone wolf" packs at Wal-Mart and Target. Some of the Target packs had the Feb 12 date. I think I know what the deal is with the expiration dates; the earlier dates there were 1 or 2 packs seeded into the case, to build early buzz. *OMGpun:P* The cases that have the Aug 28+ dates are the new ones, and those seem to ALL have iceflies. So they increased the availability with expected higher awareness of the campaign.

Of course, I think they may have underestimated how many places have expired stock! If I was the company, I'd probably be bothered about that. Though maybe that's why they're running the ARG. (My father works in retail, so I have an interest in 5gum's strategy and motivation I guess Razz )

This is valid reasoning...and you'd think they'd be concerned about expired stock on shelves! My brother works overnight stock at our local Target, and he says he feels like the only person who rotates stock there. So it's not just the 5 Gum/candy distribution, it's everything - including dairy! Maybe we as the ARG community could make a push to emphasize the importance of stock rotation in grocery and retail. Does anyone need me to buy them some gum?

I've been helping our European brethren that just wanted the codes by buying Icefly packs of gum on their behalf and sending photos of the codes to them. I'm about to make another trip to the store(s) and wanted to check who else might need some and could pay via Paypal before I head out. Drop me a PM if you're interested. I'll try and fulfill as many requests as I can find gum for in the stores I drive by on the way home (quite a few Smile). I have found it for ~$1.00 in 3-packs and individual packs for $1.27-$1.73 as an idea of pricing.

Gum Locations

Hi guys, I just came from Target where they got a shipment of gum this morning. I bought 40 packs. You should have seen the people in line looking at me! The store clerk asked about them and now she is going to buy a pack. Laughing

In any case here is what I see "Boxes Stamped 014" Should contain icefly's

THIS IS NOT CORRECT!

014 is most likely the plant # the gum was made at. It has nothing to do with the time period it was produced.

Every single pack I have seen, Icefly and non-Icefly, has 014. The only thing people should be checking is the Best By date. There are several different "starting" dates depending on the flavor.

I hope I don't sound upset at you Jane Smith, I just want to squash that 014 thing right away so it doesn't cost anyone money. Very Happy
I appreciate you making observations and trying to help out!

I second that. From experience and my packages at home, that this is very true.
