More or less exactly this except with the Traelek Institute pages. I already know that ascent when you mess with the transparencies of each picture as is and adjust the order of the pictures (but don't turn the pictures, which I did in the ones I posted when I was still working the Ventruvian Man angle) a bit you get what looks like a spherical roller from the Cobalt commercial (the non-icefly one). I didn't try much but I didn't get much from overlaying the misguided pages (though I didn't try much at all, as I said). What I really want to try is overlaying the ring/newspaper clip and also maybe the brochure pages/newspaper clip or something of the like.

Really I want to see if any combination of the other stuff gives us something interesting like in ascent.

I agree, probably seeing things where we want to see. BUT. Forgive me if I've missed some discussion of this already, but - why are the constellation keys called that? Facility keys, well, I assume such a thing gives us access to a facility. But constellation keys? Have we questioned the use of the word "constellation" as opposed to group, sequence, arrangement, level, etc?

I've overlayed all the ascent images in photoshop, but I cannae see anything leaping out yet. I've noticed that 3 of the sketches (broken icefly canister, Gyroscope thingy and Truck) all have the same 'torn' paper edges which can be aligned. Still nothing in the images yet, but at least an observation. Could just be re-use of the artwork by the designers. I know I've cut corners this way before on a limited budget!!

I'll keep rotating and messing!

Concerning the overlaying of images from the Traelek Institute;

It feels like this would definitely lead somewhere. The sketches almost scream "there is something here...keep looking!" but I'll be buggered if I can find it. The web page for the Traelek Inst. also seems to suggest the idea we should overlay images (I'm basing this assumption off of the Vitruvian Man double image).

Sadly, the only 'results' I've had was overlaying the Vitruvian man with an image spliced together from the classroom scene in the completed Traelek video).

Was it ever decided what the pentagons represented? Or the lettering inside?

Don't know if anyone noticed but I posted that a pentagon appears on the jumpsuit of a "test subject" in one of the 5gum ads. Looks like some sort of logo and has some symbol inside like the ones in the video.

The comic pages look, to me, like storyboards they did before they shot the video. It would've been a smart way to use the assets, anyway, as they created this whole thing.

Yes, concept art, perhaps. Or maybe the're going to unleash a 5 Gum comic on the world when all is said and done.

I think it's safe to assume we'll be seeing more of this comic as the game unfolds. We have a "prelude" now. It was originally called "Facility 01" correct? I guess I'm not surprised that was changed, as these first pages show more of a general facility overview (plus SPAAAAAACE).

Facility keys necessary to unlock future comic book pages about other (specific) facilities? Since they all show up in what is basically your inventory...

Are these facilities different buildings that make up the Traelek Institute, either in one location or scattered around the world, or might there be other institutes/organizations involved?

Either it's a huge CERN-esque operation, or they've got various facilities scattered about. They obviously have some sort of academy going, which I assume is the above-ground facade for the core operation that, likely, takes place almost entirely below ground. Pretty far underground, probably, considering the magma right outside one of their doors. It could be they have a facility on Mustafar. Shocked

Maybe 5 sides - 5 Senses. 5 fingers on your hand. 5 days of the week. 5 nipples (maybe that's just me!)

I still ask, why the word "constellation" is being used. It's not random
Gotta be something there. Facility makes sense, we've been led to an institute. But CONSTELLATION?

Vitruvian Man Study

I've been studying the image of Vitruvian man and the text under the ring on 'DECOY' and I don't think they are the same text. They look similar but I cannot find a match. In the 'Decoy' image, there are clearly 10 lines of text. On the original Vitruvian man (I got from Wikipedia) There is only one section that has 10 lines. Bottom Centre

Taking into account mirror writing, I cannot find a match with the 3rd line from 'Decoy' and 3rd line on Vitruvian man - Backwards or forwards. From the attached image you can see that none of the Vitruvian lowercase 'G's' have a similar tail to the sample from 'Decoy'

Hopefully the image attached should make things clearer. LMK. G

Have you tried flipping it upside down? as perhaps the ring was laid on the document with the document head closest to us?
