While I doubt Doc Corenthal Tall Dark and Faceless, I do suspect the normal-caps phantom tweets ("Take solace in the rain, my children. It only means I'm near.", etc.) were by the good doctor.

Which would raise an interesting question, if true:

This conversation came up before. I personally think the calm twitter posts were by Slenderman, because the "Take solace in the rain" thing is so something he'd say.

To be honest, I feel the most telling part about that is "my children", not the rain stuff...And 'solace' interests me as a word choice, too. You know, maybe it IS Corenthal...I need to rewatch the Corenthal Connection, I think.

It's just a ton of speculation, but as long as we're taking Habit at his word..it's sorta implied that Corenthal has become something/someone else. All that "fate worse than death" jazz.

I don't want to cross any streams or anything or invoke movies like Pumpkinhead, but maybe Corenthal became Slendy...somehow?

From Slendys seemingling lack of menace towards the guys...it could be "plausible"..i guess? I don't know.

It'd be a lot easier if just knew what happened to the good Doctor. ~~But along those same lines, I'd also like a pony. Neither of these things are happenening too soon or easily.~~

Slender's motivations in a weird light. Just calling attention to that line. Considering this is Slendy we're talking about here that got me a laugh.

Well, think about the fact we've pretty much established some sort of cycle going on here...

EDIT: Hold a tic. I get the feeling we suggested this before, but if Slendy and HABIT are opposed to each other that might explain a good bit about this being a cycle. A cycle of HABIT corrupting/killing them and Slendy rebooting it all. Or something.
