 		Since some characters can stand for words, doesn't the crossed 'o' from Marble Hornets stand for Operator?

 		I just opened the sound file playing in the background of http://8-3-11.info/
in itunes. The artist name is " The conet project", and the album art shows what seems to be some sort of telephone post. Any theories?

 		The soundtrack is one of the first things we looked at, and after watching all of the metadata, verifying historic facts and even comparing audio signals with an original version, nothing is here to be found.

Im pretty sure the word CONVERTABLE has something to do with decoding the second message. Coolson decoded it in this

And it makes more and more sense because they have been talking about retractions and roofs. I don't really know how to decode it with just a code word though....

Also, they said they hadn't studied cryptography right? so what if they are not using a known cipher? what if they just made up their own?

They said the next thing to be released is the unedited photo of belle, my guess is that the second cipher is the key to getting that photo.

 		I think they're going to show us 83 year old Belle, with a possible skin disease.

In a slightly unrelated note, my Facebook page has... exploded. I am happy to have many of my Argentinean followers, but I hope they really don't think this is world jack-off day.

I don't think I'm going to look forward to seeing a horribly disfiguring skin disease on 8-3-11 to be very honest :\

Answers on Formspring seem to be downplaying the disease angle, so I'm doubting that there's going to be some horrible skin disease involved.

Here's another far fetched theory (I'll spoiler it just for the hell of it):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Belle is 6 years old in the photo, and she's 83 now, which means the photo was probably taken in 1934. On August 3, 1934, Hitler became the supreme ruler of Germany (and remember the first "images of Belle" photo was Germany.png). Perhaps the original photo will reveal Belle to be a former Hitler Youth, and we'll be challenged not to judge her for it (not to cast the first stone, as it were).
The umbrella, I suppose, could be a symbol for willful ignorance, protection from uncomfortable knowledge. "Retraction" could refer to closing up the umbrella and accepting uncomfortable knowledge.
