I recommend the following podcast episode where J.C. Hutchins (7th Son, Personal Effects: Dark Arts) interviews Jim Babb (Must Love Robots, Socks Inc) about Socks Incorporated and transmedia storytelling.
It contains a couple of minor spoilers, but don't let that stop you listening.

My sock puppet, Sockithea, is at level 4, with 22 missions under her belt. You gain levels by completing missions with Gary in Mr Barnsworth's office. Access to these main story missions is gained by completing "side missions" in the other departments.

In the spirit of BuzzFeed.com (or in the case of socks, BuzzFeet.com), Socks Incorporated has a new feature:
Whenever you view a submission, you can choose to award it "buzz" tags (<3, Smart, Cute, LOL, Wow!, Geeky, Goofy, Artistic). It is great to finally be able to comment on the submissions of other sock puppets.

The other much requested feature, badges, has also been implemented. There are badges to be earned for both giving and receiving "buzz" tags, so it is time to get buzzing. Smile

I wonder what the big announcement will be.
[SPEC] It might be the "create your own mission" feature that has previously been hinted at. What does everyone else think?

Free Socks, Inc. swag is available to all players, lurkers and newcomers alike. All you have to do is design a new Department and create a pilot video of the first mission. The top entries will win a HD video camera, but all entrants will receive swag. Very Happy
