What was the gibberish?
Maybe the message is further hidden (read it backwards, anagram, stuff like that). If that's the case, one of us might see it where you didn't.

Howdy all - been emailing back and forth with Patrice Heinz of the support team all day.

I managed to find that they have offices in
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Toronto (main office), New York, San Francisco and Detroit
.

The full email correspondence is below - they've emailed a CEO and a couple of other new addresses on my behalf, so I'm waiting to hear back.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Usually I would direct you to our website for that information as our website contains a comprehensive list of all our office locations worldwide. However, I've only been to two offices, and that would be here in our Main Office in Toronto, and another one New York. I've heard we also have another in San Francisco and Detroit. And another one overseas would be in London.

Actually, one more thing. Are you aware of the locations of the other offices? I need to log them on a spreadsheet but my supervisor was not available.

Thanks.

Sorry but such information is restricted and only LAINSY Trained Technicians, LAINSY Development and Programming Department members, and the highest ranks of FAILTECH has access to it. And that excludes me. If you are one of the new technicians they have to fix our network problems, I'd recommend waiting for my Support Manager's response and he'll be able to direct you to the persons you may need to contact.

Patrice,

You have been extremely helpful - one of the reasons I needed the level 3 security password was to work with LAINSY, as I am a specialist in Artificial Intelligences and technolinguistics - however, I am not aware of the full limitations / specifications of LAINSY. Are those available?

Thanks

Thank you. I was just doing my job. I hope the people at the Colorado office was as well. Also our Support Manager is currently out and will back at work in a few hours. It might take a while before he can respond so I apologize for this inconvenience. Is there anything else I can help you with?

I am not allowed to provide any password over email to any employee at any circumstance. It is as described on my FAILTECH Support Standard Procedure Guidelines. Also, I do not have any Level 3 password as I am only a Level 2 Security Clearance Employee.

I have CCed our Support Manager and hopefully he can figure out how to you help with this. I am sorry on behalf of the company of any substandard company welcome our Colorado Office has provided you. I have BCCed one of our Board of Directors so that he is made aware of such substandard employee treatment. Also, I have CCed our Company Feedback department so that they can address this issue with our Colorado Office.

And again, welcome to FAILTECH and I hope you enjoy you time with us.

Patrice,

Unfortunately I never received an Employee Welcome Package - the induction here was so bad even my supervisor never told me his name! Do you have a list of level 3 supervisors so I could find out which one mine was?

As for the Colorado office, it doesn't seem new - I was hoping to join to do some R&D, but ended up with administrative work instead - still, I need that password!

Thanks
Joe

As described in your FAILTECH Employee Welcome Package you should contact your Superior or Supervisor for such needs. The Support Team cannot provide such details to you. This is a FAILTECH Standard Procedure and failure to comply in such procedures may put your job and the company at risk. Don't worry, your supervisor has not been informed of this since you are new. Congratulations on your new job!

Hi guys,

New on staff here, just working temp in the Colorado office, but I seem to have mislaid my level 3 security clearance password - any chance you can set me up with a temporary one just so I can get on and finish what needs doing? The guys up top will have my head otherwise!

Cheers

It depends on how you look at it. One interpretation is eeiaumso eeisaws. It depends on how you separate the short and long buzzers. There just seems to be some sort of organization to it. I'm sure that if Punxtr didn't see anything though, I surely won't be able to find anything. I've run it through anagram and cryptogram solvers but can't come up with anything that stands out. I also tried to omit the first buzzer since it says to ignore it. I don't know. Grasping at straws here.

Hey, godofchicken, was there supposed to be something in that second, empty spoiler tag, or was it just a site error? Just want to be sure we're not missing anything you found out.

My fault entirely! I'm not used to using these forumy jobs! I asked the man about the Antarctic facility, and got

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Email seems to be running ok today. Seems to be unaffected by the website and network outages. I feel sorry for our Support Team in charge of handling calls as they have no work today. Or maybe I kinda envy them for not having work today? Our phone lines are down as well so email is the only way to go.

Anyways, I am not aware of any facility in the Antarctic. Why would FAILTECH have a facility down there? I mean, wouldn't it be too hard for FAILTECH and employees just to work down there? Unless of course FAILTECH has something of interest down there. But then again, all of our four FAILTECH facilities where most of the company's research and development are performed are undisclosed even to us. Only office locations are made available to the public, and to us office employees so I can't really say anything about any of our FAILTECH facilities other than it's where most of our research and developments are done.

I'm not a genius, guys. We're all here to help, and my expertise is not greater than anyone else's. Just because I didn't find anything does not mean you won't.

Now, what godofchicken did was smart. It's the same method I tried on Facebook, but their procedure and protocol is just too good...

Edit--Ask him if email attachments are unfiltered again. I couldn't send my signed NDA last night.

Pat has come through for me here - he replied with:

I don't know. FAILTECH Support email clients are not designed to handle attachments as a security feature. However, other departments are able to handle attachments, just not here in support. Maybe your friend can try sending his attachment again? I don't see any note on our systems regarding any problems with file attachments.

So maybe try sending it again?
Also is there some way we could use the lack of communication between offices / departments to our advantage?

Absolutely.

Edit--I'll wait until Rich emails me back. If he really wants my services, he'll respond back as soon as he can help me.

Couldn't Level 3's username be level3access? (That is if we're following a default pattern.) Just a small thought.

I didn't see this mentioned, but I could have missed it. It seems a paragraph was added to the readme text.

Quote:
>> I don't know what's taking you long to get to Level 3. As far as I've checked while waiting for you,
password are indeed reset. Only a handful of existing usernames can login with their password, but the default
logins are now available. Either find what the defaults are, or find an ally from with FAILTECH that
can help you with this. If I had access to the password information, I could just hand them out to you
but from where I stand, I can only do limited things and figuring out the encrypted passwords is out of
possible things I can do. Here's a small help for you: the default usernames start with level+a number+access
for example level2access for level 2, and level3access for level 3. Finding out what the password is your task
at hand now.

Yeah that was just added.

I've tried some of the most obvious one's including:
default
password
123456
1234

No dice yet.

I've emailed Pat asking if there's anyone who would know the default passwords - hopefully I'll find out if anyone there is the potential 'ally'...

I've also emailed Rich. Just in case, because it's not standard protocol to give out password info over email I asked if he could even give us a hint.

I guess we'll just have to see what we all get out of it.

Edit: I also tweeted at them. I was hoping to try to get information the roundabout way, but it's a long shot.

I just checked and L4 can now be accessed.
