Yup. Props to CCS. Saw "what lies" when I was over there Monday nite posting a comment. Was too pooped/negligent & forgot. Now with one passage hidden it's....

"find what lies under the cross of light". A Drop? Maybe the Mount Royal Cross? Don't know Montreal well enough. Sad

Will rectify that someday soon.

The cross looks pretty fenced off so finding something underneath it may be hard, but the wiki does mention a time capsule buried beside it. Maybe if we mention that?

Here's a strange series of connections that I just turned up -- it just seems too disconnected to be intentional, but it's still fun:

1. By legend, the Emperor Constantine had a vision of a cross of light in the sky, which motivated his victory at the battle of Milvian Bridge in 312 AD. From this, he took his motto "in hoc signo vinces".

2. "In hoc signo vinces" has been used by many groups and leaders through the ages. It is the motto, for example, of the Sisters of Charity (the "Grey Nuns") of Montreal.

3. In 2005, the Sisters of Charity sold their Montreal buildings to Concordia University. According to wikipedia, those buildings (the "Grey Nuns Buildings") now house the Concordia School of Cinema.

Below the Chapel lies the crypt which was the cemetery for 260 sisters who died between 1874 and 1896, many heartbreakingly young, having worked as nurses during typhoid and smallpox epidemics ....
