 		a peering back into Jeff and Alex's parents might suggest some sort of temporal time connection linking back to them... perhaps Alex is somehow connected to them 4th dimensionally, which is why he thinks them still alive.

Or perhaps we're dealing with Slender quantum mechanics and alternate universes are colliding. Alex maybe abducted from a happier timeline, and he's starting to break down or revert? (Fringe theory, lol).

I know none of my theories bare any mark on the plot at this point, but I fear this Candle world will be the true unavoidable future, which is more than a little disturbing.

Well, considering none of the Corenthal papers have ever mentioned Alex, I think it's much more likely that those are Alex and Jeff's parents, not the Corenthals. I'd also like to take the moment to point out that the field they're in really reminds me of the one surround the lone tree from A Day in the Life and several other videos.


Yes, I also going to mention the similarity to the "lonely tree" that Jeff and others are seen at in 77of76.avi. So, perhaps that is why Jeff seems to have an attachment to it.
However, how long ago did his parents die? If Alex was still in middle-school and is in highschool now, that would have to be atleast 3 years. I can not recall if it is stated on the letter Jeff sent Grieck.
I may be wrong, but I recall Jeff saying 'several years ago'. Maybe that was right before they died?

 		The 'Candle Cove' (i like that name for it) scenes sorta gave me the feeling that it took place soon after that little memorial they had for Ryan. They were dressed fairly formally, and they had candled in the R&SToH video too, correct?

 		I think the "Candle Cove" bit is around the same time as Ryan's memorial but in a different universe.

I'd agree with Dino. These three definitely appear to know the doctor personally, and they definitely know about Evan's dangerous HABITs. Therefore, they can't be the same three who lose their memory after this, so I'm thinking either alternate timeline or a different iteration.

Also, I love the icon.

That's because it is.
At one point Vince notices the "camera" when it gets close, and so he points it out to Jeff, who says "Let him watch, what can he do?" or...something to that effect. That coupled with its height above them leads me to conclude we're seeing them from Slendy's pov THE WHOLE TIME.

 		So considering the "underwater" scenes, and the timing in this video when whoever it is "surfaces" - does anyone think that maybe it's representative of a struggle inside of Evan with HABIT? He's trying to keep him under the surface, and in past clips we see him "getting by with a little help from his friends" when the other boys seems to be trying to keep him under. If I recall, some of the first underwater clips were of someone looking up at Evan on the surface...

Interesting theory. If it's correct, then Evan will go all HABITy soon.

Also, I'd like to point out that they CHAOS backwards theory was right.

Although the first bit has be confused. It looks just like Evan's legs in the water
