 		Actually, that isn't the level 8 UN. It is the UN for the site's FTP server.
This speaks of an IG FTP connection to the site.
I actually tried ftp://failtechnologies.com at the very beginning (I do that with most sites like this to see if I can get a directory listing or something). When it asked for a login I assumed it was OOG. Apparently not.

We already have genusorein as a username. We just need a password.

That's ridiculous! How did you work that out?

I was telling this whole arg to my friend and I told him we're stuck at this. So he simply said, have you tried "hewasnotanegg" ? I was like, crazy, we've tried that. No, it says here they tried "heisnotanegg" but not "hewasnotanegg"

if you look closer, that log was in 2001, not 2011


Ah, right, but if it was back in 2001, why did Genus get denied access to the LMAO file...? I thought that he had had full access? Does this mystery go even further back than we know? One of the call logs talks about LAINSY deleting accounts, but the nature of the call implies it was when LAINSY was first built.

 		I tried logging into the FTP server with just the username and no PW.

It took the login, but I got a separate window asking for the pass.

I agree, GoC needs to contact Daniel, and for one, ask him about what access writes Genus had and if he was blocked from anything in the past, and if he even knew about the FTP server, because he never mentioned it in the past

(P.S. Having so much fun on my first ARG, this is really addicting!)

Also, there was this call transcript between someone and Weston. If I'm getting this right, the guy whose transcript we're reading is most probably Fred Don. Meanwhile this Weston is Weston Hall of Duo Corp. They seem to be talking about a technology in particular and something that is banned. I can't figure out which one. Their conversation seems fishy to me.

 		We should also keep working on the level 5 password since levels 5 and 6 are accessible now.
From the calltranscripts in 4, i'm gussing the new password is something like
"thereisnopassword" or "leaveblank"
( not spoilering these since they dont work Wink )

 		I tried:

theresnopassword
there'snopassword
there's no password (Firefox seems to accept spaces in the password)
password
nopassword
(literally just left it blank)

None of which worked.

EDIT: Hey! I just had an idea! LAINSY turned the password for the last one on its head right? Well, maybe the same goes here! Start trying stuff like thereisapassword (didn't work)!
