The things that happen around this place when I go out for a bite!

Well, now that we're back I wanted to say they did a nice job on the Project Egypt blog, which is pretty direct about its connection to the cult stuff. DH is extremely upfront about their exposition and their mythos, and kind of just putting it all right out there - that wouldn't work for me if their videos weren't generally so excellent of late. Their backstory is wildly OTT, but I like OTT when it's done well. They're doing something different and generally doing it well so far, so it works for me. I did, admittedly, snicker like a six year old at a tiny typo in the mock article on Kaufmann - "the anals of history."

Looking forward to seeing where this goes, as always.

Once again, DH does what only they do. They started doing that by making extremely well-done, innovative, daring long-form videos - some of the recent ones are still among the best Slendervlog material I have ever seen - and now they are pretty much going balls-out with the overt mythos stuff with the book and the cult. It is definitely an acquired taste, but so far I think they're executing it very well. That cult compound looked like a legit set. It was very well put together. I'm with them so far on this more in-your-face angle, but even if you aren't you have to respect their craftsmanship.

I'm so glad they're back - I was worried they'd disappeared for good.

I was totally expecting for Slendy to pop up. Then again it might've demystified him a bit too much if it turns out this cult isn't totally full of shit.
