Gerald, think you're right. Just doesn't seem to match. The weird thing is, while the word on the Decoy document with the apparent "g" looks like cursive English (or similar), some of the other lines do not. Could just be the handwriting...

Of course, it could be stock photography and have nothing to do with anything Razz

Indeed. But it could indeed simply be Da Vinchi's writing.

As for the ascent image, note that all images except for the one on the front page and the newspaper article are 600x600.

For ascent, this means without any messing with how things are positioned and just messing with transparency you can get it to look like the roller from the cobalt commercial. The head is formed by the truck image, the hands by one of the iceflies, the roller by the atom, the open icefly filled in some details, and the shelves(edit: Er, I know they are doors but in my mind I keep calling them shelves) others... Actually, the shelves I'm not sure of. Another crazy tangent going on in my head is how the shelves was teh sketch the girl took (and it was on top of the truck image) in the video...

I wonder if that has any significance.

Following the "constellation" question...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A40086830
That's the only fly-related constellation I can find. I kind of want to try digging through photos of constellations in hopes of finding a clue...

Traelek Institute Phone System Fixed

It looks like 42E fixed the old mail boxes. If you press 8 you get prompted for the first few letters of the person's name you are trying to find. I tried all 1,2 and 3 letter combinations and they were all invalid. You can also type in an extension when you first call. All single numbers except 7 give you an immediate invalid selection message so I went through all the 7xx range and those also were invalid. Maybe they are still working on it.

Just a note to all 'rest of world players. This phone number can be accessed via skype for free. All other countries need to identify their country code and replace the first 2 digits eg Use 00 18668435774 from UK. Very Happy G

Hm...this information would probably have a great place on the Wiki page. Wink

I highly doubt that 42E could design their system to respond in such a way to each individual who registers and calls from their registered phone number. With that said, and as others have mentioned, they've cleaned up their phone system and none of the remnants from their other ARGs are accessible... it looks like they've been keeping tabs on us in other ways! Smile

That's part of the changes they made... apparently we weren't meant to leave messages for them!

Er, were you intending to link to a specific page? 'Cause after getting spit out at the home page, I checked "promotional theories" and didn't see any new information. ^_^;

There's a Trellech village, with lots of different spellings of Trellech. It's a pretty ancient site. Don't know how this might be relevant, but thought one of you might know of a movie coming that had some ancient Welsh connection...?

And now for something completely different: while some of us are hoping that this is beginning with gum but then going somewhere else, I wonder if we should reverse that thinking. I've (finally) watched some of the 5 gum stuff on youtube, like "what it's like to chew 5 gum" and I wonder if that place where it's all happening, is in fact Traelek Institute. Or surely it's the place where the Terry O'Quinn character is examining the icefly in its canister. So maybe it started there and is now being unpacked here?
