Q: How do you get the Log Files? I don't have any images under Prelude.
A: Log Out, THEN watch the video.
After some going back and forth, I found that if I logged out, then watched the video, then clicked on the countdown, then logging in when it prompted me - it worked. If I was already logged in... no dice.

I've stickied this thread for the forum. More common questions and basic facts should be added to the front page, IMO, so that this thread can be linked for people who join and don't want to wade through threads or hundreds of pages

I've now set up a general wiki page for chatting in IRC via web for those w/o a chat program
http://icefly.wikibruce.com/Chat
Makes accessing content a little easier while chatting :)

I didn't play ILoveBees, but I'm wondering - how long did the whole thing take, and at what point did you say Aha, this is for Halo? or did you know it from the get-go?

I can answer that last part for you, but I don't know how long ilovebees was. That particular ARG was connected to Halo from the get-go, however. A trailer for one of the main games (I'm pretty sure it was Halo 2) flashed the url for ilovebees.com at the end, which served as a major trailhead.

So, this is my first arg, so I'm rather stupid
Anyway, when the picture was released after the count down-the crazy 8-legged monster-someone did something magical to that. Steno or stoch something I don't know
But just for future reference, what is this magical decoding mechanism and how does one do it?

It did. I was rereading all 42's args. I think it's safe to assume this is for 5 and 5 alone.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The room in the facility clearly has the stylized 5 logo and is nearly identical to another 5 game,
As for you, GrapesEatSnape, it is semaphore, it's a standardized way of using two flags or lights to communicate to a boat or plane.

LOL. Ok, now that' i've gotten that out of my system. The "magical decoding mechanism" that was used is called "Semaphore" it's use is wide ranging but I've only heard of it being used on ships. Here's a wiki link that explains it pretty well - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_semaphore

Just wanted to point out that it's specifically flag semaphore. "Semaphore" alone describes several different signaling systems.

New here, and with my first question.
Is it no longer possible to take the test and create an ID badge?
I try going to testsubjectsneeded.com and it just redirects me to survivalcode.com, which lets me create a basic account and explore the facility.

Actually, now that you mention it, I can't get testsubjectsneeded.com to come up in a google search anymore. o.O
Someone updated the wiki though, try this link instead . :3

Updated the OP a bit. I'd still appreciate your suggestions for other information to post!

If you have the keys recorded on your profile, you should probably e-mail support to get the badges to show up. If the keys aren't showing up, e-mail them and offer to provide proof of the codes you used (either receipt of 5 Gum or the actual codes) if they need it to confirm.
