Said this on facebook:

The 5 inside the hex makes me think of hexidecimal notation. Not too many places A10 or A11 would fit in that notation, but all the other A# translate into a decimal number.

Hey, awesome, that's exactly what me and Mon1337 are working on right now. Glad to see it wasn't just me who thought of it.

overlay

Hey guys, I'm new to ARG play as this is my first one, but I have been following you guys for a while and this is really getting interesting. I liked the idea of the overlay so here it is. It's not great but its something. I think the dots are reference coordinates. There are 2 dots for each A#-color combo, right? Well mister guy up above connected them all. So what if we take the midpoint of each of those lines, and put it on this overlay (this is the best match that I could get) would it point to certain stars? perhaps making the fly constellation? Idk, I might work on it but I'm really tired atm...

Here it is:

Sorry dont know how to attach files....

Would be good if someone else tried this. I'm wondering if the colors of the dots that are, say, light purple, are actually different shades, and the shade designations themselves give a code. So, for example, starting at the first light purple dot just above the top point of the pentagram labeled A4, and going counter clockwise, you get

A4 A7 A5
Hue: 279 278 276
Saturation:39 39 39
V: 55 56 56
R: 121 122 120
G: 86 87 87
B: 140 143 142
HTML: 79568c 7a578f 78578e

They aren't all the same. This may just be the artists not being consistent with colors. I tried it several times and the numbers replicate, so I don't think the differences are error in my color picking tool. But if we have to decode something based on some subset of these numbers, it makes my head ache just thinking about it...

Random thought again; in terms of what we're trying to find out... our codes to get facility keys (from the gum) were A1B2C3etc format (letter-number-letter-number, or I think I got a few number-letter). I also note that there are 5 sets of "letter-number" pairs in the 5gum codes. Maybe that's what the pentagram is supposed to indicate.

Any chance we're trying to unlock the main door to the facility and are looking for the correct code? (EG, use the correct pattern and it will overlay with the correct dots to make a code. Obviously it's all "A" but that doesn't mean it's not a code.)

I suspect that we're supposed to draw a pentagram. But where that should be drawn, I haven't figured out.

The countdown puzzle page is changing. The dots on the site now are in different locations than the images captured a few hours ago.

Are these all colours associated to flavours of 5Gum?

Do they go in order from when a flavour was released, hence why 12 is gray/"ice"?

Yes, the dots are changing colors or being removed. I don't know if the numbers are changing as well, though.

I'm afraid not, at least not between my initial screencaps and the current image. Out of all thirteen individual colors, I have found none so far that have gained any points, but many points have shifted positions, such as Red A2 and Lt Blue A7.

Here's the delta between first version and current one. A few points have shifted positions slightly, others have made large jumps.
