On the tweet from Vadiir: it does mean that Shadowleaves is Michelle Mason - the fourth of six? Has this gone unmentioned because it is too obviously true, or too obviously false?

Well, she did deny her identity as one of the six - perhaps she only meant a specific one? I am not sure.

edit | Ah, Vadiir has confirmed that she is Michelle Mason on Formspring. He does not know of Gregory Mason, the Theurge, but she may.

My conjecture is that Vadiir learned ShadowLeaves' previous name from his tenure as Munenany. Perhaps Nein could investigate the past identities of the Chosen at the Ames Commune; that would be quite useful.

As an aside, I think it is a curious direction for an ARG to take. Hunter has given into our hands a little more measure of control over the game. It is not only that any-one may die, but also that Death is, rather than an absolute, merely a thing to be contended with - and we, the Linked, have a little power to do so.

We hold a good deal of influence for people whose sole actions thus far have been to ask questions and (in some cases) draw pictures.

Unfortunately I can only write characters, worlds, and laws. My stories are probably inadequate.

No, I doubt Butler knows too many old names; and I think that any database would only list the current epithets. Nothing more is needed, and the Master does not think fondly of his puppets knowing more than they ought.
