Just a shame about the picture of me in a phone box Wink

Here's hoping it gets called sometime next week - its only 5 minutes walk from work and my house, so I can get there easily!

At least you got it. I have not received a response to my axon submission. So i do not think that it or my crewmember status is going to be accepted. I left for work as early as I could, but it looks like I did not submit the information early enough.

Alright, has anyone formally submitted an axon (not a crew photo, but a picture of a phonebox with a clear shot of the number within, as detailed on the Hives page)?

If not, I'm going to happen to be at Leicester Square tomorrow with a friend who owns a digital camera. I'd like to nominate that phonebox north of the 56 Dean Street phones as the axon point, because it's reasonably central but still quiet and most of the London hunters know where it is already.

Plus, the sense of irony if it's chosen? Delicious.

Hey, Flidget, did you send the Dean street phone? Get a response?

Would it be worthwhile for us to all mail the same image (or various images of the same phone). Might convince the PMs there's still a demand.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Max's axon goes off. After 2 abortive attempts I'm thinking Mellissa may be screwing up the UK dialing code. Rolling Eyes

Yeah I have, but no joy. We have sent them instructions on how to dial the number from the U.S. before, by the way.

Anyway, copy of the email I sent. Maybe I just didn't include detailed enough coordinates to make her happy, or something.

The London squad, Round Table, is stranded in an isolated location out of reach of any of the other teams. We are in urgent need of assistance and support.

We are re-attempting to establish verbal communication at Lat: 51:30:46N(51.5128) Lon: 0:07:55W (-0.132), as the axon point has already been confirmed as being able to accept inbound transmissions and has become a known rendezvous point for military personnel within the area. Intelligence verifying the security of the location is attached to this message.

a. The squad name seemed like a good idea at the time.
b. This is the 56 Dean Street Axon. I tried for the other one but there was a guy in the phonebox. We waited for half an hour but he wasn't showing any signs of getting off the phone soon, so we moved on.
c. The phone number isn't included in the body of the email because it's clearly visible in the photographs, as is the street address.

[EDIT]

By the way, if anyone wants to try Rogue Element's plan of everyone sending Melissa the images of the same axon, PM me and I'll send you the pictures I took.

[/EDIT]

So cool!!! Does that translate to 7:21 p.m. for you guys? You should all get your asses down there. If I were a PM and had seen the crap that you all went through, it would definitely be a "live" call. Good luck!!!

What about meeting up in the other Costas, the bigger one along Shaftsbury Avenue that isn't as packed? . . Unfortunately I can't remember its exact address.

I've got a lot of time to kill until 7:21 so I'm probably going to be there an hour early.

[EDIT]

Right so. . . um, how frequently does the rotating passphrase cycle? I never payed attention before because the London axon was stuck for a month on 'What is your Captain's name?'.

We might need the assistance of another Brit who can be at the computer around 7:15 to let us know what the current one is.

[/EDIT]

Nice work guys! Hope you get to the axon ok. I can't get into London this week because I crashed my car and I can't get to the station in time by bike Embarassed but if the axon is still there next week I can make it.

I am not sure if it will be live, because SP would have to give the relay people the phone number to call just a few minutes before SP called it. Not many people have a mobile plan that allows them to call internationally.
