I'M SUBMITTING MY OWN BLOG, OKAY? OO; IF NOT, DISREGARD THIS. IT'S FAIRLY NEW BUT IT SEEMS PRETTY WELL LIKED AND >////////<

1. Blog Name: Return To Slender

3. Based on the generation criteria below, classify it in a generation and briefly explain why.

Gen 4. One, it's only really two months old, Two, it doesn't really follow core theory (though it's concept does support crossing over). Plus, greater focus on character interaction than actual running or fighting, but this, again, may be due to the premise.

4. A brief, 1-paragraph summary of the premise without spoilers.

Spencer Fitzgerald has started a blog, promoting what he calls "a courier service for the hunted and haunted". Joined by Amanda, the wisecracking veteran, Steele, the resident druggie and badass extraordinaire, Todd, a man of few words and fewer explanations, Doc, who's wit only outshines her medical talent, August, the resident butt-monkey and cook (often mistaken for a girl), and Sam, the newbie, the service starts to connect with the community, only raising more questions about The House in which they live and how they all came to gather there...

This site is amazing, regardless of its not-really-for-public-consuption-but-i-guess-it's-been-leaked-:/ status.

Once everything gets polished up and finished, this will be a great resource for everyone -- from people just starting out, to hardened veterans who want an easier way of getting to material.

If you're able to keep the "latest content" part updated, that alone would make this site worthwhile.

I only wish it wasn't made in Flash, but I'm an old-school webbie. Razz

GENERATION: I have no idea. It's horror-driven and isolated from the mainstream mythos, and rejects many conventions which are integral to the modern blog scene (see: proxies, symbols, elaborate organisations, Slendy as an evil mastermind), and indeed the main influence is the original SA thread itself. However, there is awareness of the other blogs, and indeed, the entire premise is that the two blogs are intrinsically interconnected. Plus, chronologically, it's fourth generation. I guess it has a first generation feel, a third generation level of connectivity, and came out in the fourth generation. If it saves time, call it fourth generation.

PREMISE: Ill girl and primary school intern Kari discovers a terrible crime scene, and is pulled into a world of horror surrounding a man known only as "Daddy." Meanwhile, her boyfriend Simon's film blog is quickly derailed by his investigations into the strange faceless man who's been stalking them and a strange book which seems to hint at a larger picture.

OK, so... there's been big movement in the last couple weeks. I had abandoned the site after Wix's editor was constantly crashing on me, but this semester I'm taking another web design class and had to purchase server space and a URL for a project. So... I decided to revive this. And after several weeks of working on design and fighting to the death with jQuery (and losing, for now) the new site is incomplete, but open.

I'm requesting feedback on the redesign.
- Is the navigation too cluttered, do I need to consolidate pages?
- How is the new video page layout for you? (Marble Hornets, everymanHYBRID pages open now, working on the others now)
- Is everyone working correctly on your browser? I'm working from Firefox and I'd like to know how other browsers handle the site to see if I can fix incompatibilities.

For those who posted in this thread last year submitting their blogs, I will add them to the blog index page when I build it.

Plans for this new version of the site:
- It will stay up for as long as I can afford it, so you can look to this in the future beyond the end of the school year.
- Daily updated feed with videos from known Slender series.
- In depth pages for video series with 1,000+ subs.
- Archive of Fandom content daily.
- Podcasts with Slenderverse creators.
- A system by which people can submit articles and other contributions to the site.

If you have any other feedback or suggestions for me, please let me know. I do this for you guys. And for the grade. But mostly for you guys.

Looks awesome!

I wouldn't say its too cluttered, but a slight trimming might make it seem more accessable to new people. Not a big issue I think though.

Video page layout seems good, the only irritating thing is youtube presenting the playlist in reverse order, but thats a problem with them, not this.

Seems to work okay for me, but I'm firefox too.

I'll be interested in the symbology page when it get sup, that seems cool. Will it just be listing the various symbols or looking analysing them?

Are you taking submissions again? I've just started as log and have lots of fanart that I like to think are good. Smile

It would be neat if there was an in universe bit like the begining of the old one, though I can also see that not working. Things like symbology would work well from an in universe view, the postings for videos and fanart less so.

(I have no idea why I said 'as log' when I meant 'vlog' Question

Anyway, the one in my sig. Not much on it yet though.)

There's certainly some influences in some of them, not sure how many people actually carry that over(personally I like the idea).
