oh!!! oh i get it! "man kinds bad habit" is sin! which in the bible (which has been quoted n floods n sht several times) is passed down by man. (which explains why its always the "smiling MAN" and none so far are women, meaning stephanie isnt inHABITed) meaning...in order to spread, someone inHABITed must have children with someone else, aka the raping, and why evans mom would know him prior. and hes been around since the begining, so maybe hes the one who 1st sined or killed. (aka adam or cain, since in the bible, its said cain took one of his sisters with him when he left his family.)

maybe habit wants to test his playthings against each other?

Silly theory of the moment: An inHABITed Corenthal raped Nick's mother. He was never prosecuted because of lack of evidence, but it's what led to the rapeist accusations at the 1995 conference.

Maybe it's something Corenthal did that prevents Evan from remembering his inHABITation?
HABIT obviously likes to break his victims and drive them insane by making them do horrible things. Obviously the good doctor would want to stop that from happening to his children.
Which brings us back to the theory that HABIT is raising up Nick in order to break Evan, by making Evan fight and kill his friend in order to survive.

Slightly off-topic, but I never saw anyone mention it: does anyone remember the dead and gutted deer they encountered at the beginning of the Ryan video? Now that there's another dead deer ("deer") in the series, it might be somewhat important. Is that just a sign that the Rake is passing through or something more symbolic? Either way, I'm really liking this sort of foreshadowing.

Re-watching the Ryan video since so much has happened, Evan's rant to an empty chair is put into a new light. "Remember who brought you these little fish"-- I remember thinking at the time that he meant the Rabbits, but maybe this goes back longer. Now with evidence of HABIT and Slendy working at least somewhat cooperatively, maybe he means all the families they have broken as a whole-- MT4, the EMH kids + Alex, Nick, maybe even Stephanie's family? It could be some sort of symbiotic relationship.

Maybe it's time we went back over the videos-- now that the picture of the situation is more complete, there might be something that leaps out now that was obscured before.

The question in my mind is this: Is HABIT a direct subordinate of the Slender Man or is he like a remora attaching itself to a shark for the mutual benefit of both, but met largely with indifference or ignorance by the host? How invested in HABIT is SM? The only reason I ask is that, if the latter is true, it may provide a clue to how HABIT can be stopped. I'm not sure how helpful all of this is, but it seems like if we knew that HABIT was basically a suckerfish, we could find a way to knock him off Slender Man's ass and render him less dangerous.

Then again, maybe I'm grasping at straws.

maybe the reason evan kills himself (as per the story) IS to stop habit? maybe him and nick are the only inHABITed left, and if he kills nick, hes all thats left to continue habit's line?

I know this is gonna sound silly... but was anyone else reminded heavily of the relationship between HABIT and the Rake when they read this entry?

A strange pet/master relationship.
Forcing him to kill a dog.
The "pet" uses only his hands.

Maybe Nick didn't wear a black suit to scare our boys, but he might have tried fitting into a white one instead... <_< Just thinking out loud.

i dont think hes the rake, the rake is rather small, tho durrable as it is. in one of the clips, hes next to a car, and he isnt that big using that as comparrision. specialy seeing how tall their "fake slendy" was compared to them.
