http://www.southtexascollege.edu/

they have an event scheduled for 8/3/11:

175,000 answered my question on formspring. Guess that solves it.

Quote:
Was the 175,000 who posted on unfiction.net's thread about 8•3•11 really associated with you?

No.

Link here.

EDIT: And since I brain-farted and wrote .net instead of .com, I hope I didn't fluff the question with semantics. Rolling Eyes

"And all the baby boys we've born
With eyes averted from the storm
Sent off to die in perfect form
We know now what we have known

Satellite photos rhetoric
See how the euphemisms stick
And when they come back broke and burned
Those who return have no return"

I've been trying to read through the 70 pages for several hours now to be sure that any information I have come across has not already been mentioned, but my eyes feel like they are about to bleed. So, from the gps coords on the picture that was posted a few pages back (volley.png) it leads to the US Navy Communications Annex Bldg 4 which I found mentioned here http://my.safaribooksonline.com/book/software-engineering-and-development/cryptography/01120100015si/solving-the-enigma-history-of-cryptanalytic-bombe/7#X2ludGVybmFsX0ZsYXNoUmVhZGVyP3htbGlkPTAxMTIwMTAwMDE1U0kvNTE=. There is mention of Sue Eskey and how she remembered "how easy" the code could have been figured out through the wire, but was scared to say anything to anyone. There is stuff about her at the Smithsonian.

"Cryptoanalytic Bombe"
I think someone mentioned a misspelling of words-basically double letters and such: If a letter is typed twice it was in fact 2 different letters, Enigma cannot encrypt a letter to itself, spaces between words are X instead and numbers are spelled out with words. I found a symbol used over and over in the source code of almost every page about this 8-3-11 business ½ûß I googled this and that lead me to this page http://my.safaribooksonline.com/book/software-engineering-and-development/cryptography/01120100015si/solving-the-enigma-history-of-cryptanalytic-bombe/7.

I also read something about documents being captured October of 1942 and one of these documents captured was a code book, Kurzsignalheft, as cribs. In conclusion, Sue Eskey made a comment at some point that she did not realize she was a part of the Smithsonian and that one of her friends must have said something, to someone (classified info at the time I suppose). I'm just curious if maybe Belle was an important role in OP-20-G? Friend of Eskey? And SAM is probably the US Navy's encryption machine?

At any rate, I've read so many things in the last few days, it's becoming a blur! So I thought I would share what I've read with you all here. Also, I wanted to be sure I joined before I posted instead of creeping in the night. Thanks to whoever linked that d*mn "what's in the box" link earlier... >.< One more thing for me to get sucked into this week. Wink

Oh and sorry if I re-posted something that was already brought to attention. As I said, there are many pages to read here.

Its pissing me off now, its like your friend saying 'hey X can i ask you something'
'what'
'oh nevermind'
'no go on'
'it really doenst matter'

It plays on your mind for days. And when its something as intriguing as this 8.3.11 stuff is its 10x worse.
'JUST TELLLLL MEEEEEEE, PLEASE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY' Sad

hi! your remarks definitely caught my eye. i just spent an hour reading about enigma and sue eskey, which was a great mini-education. so thanks for the lead! Smile

but i'm curious about a couple of things you wrote. first, where are you seeing this symbol in the source code? i looked but didn't see it (admittedly, i had to look using a hack on my ipad since i'm on the road, so maybe i didn't see everything?). if you could provide a page where that symbol appears, it would be much appreciated.

second, i read eskey's remarks a little differently from how you did--i don't think she was saying that enigma itself was easy to break, but that she guessed easily that the wiring project she was working on was related to the alphabet, because it involved 26 wires. but realizing that you're working on something related to the alphabet is a lot easier than actually breaking the enigma code, which required the mental efforts of no less a person than turing himself. and from the article i read, eskey was in the smithsonian when she discovered a picture of herself in an exhibit on enigma and code-breaking--but the exhibit wasn't about her, it just had a picture in which she appeared.

third, what was the 'what's in the box' link? i missed that but it sounds cool Smile

C'mon, punXter; really? Really?

Then how do you explain this, bro?

How did you take the picture July 5th 2011 and submit it to 8•3•11.info, if you didn't even register as a user on unfiction until...

???

Thanks for the brownies, bro. They're even more delicious now that I've outed you on a bold-faced lie.

Either you've been lying to us this whole time about your Facebook not being directly connected to 8•3•11.info and you are a part of the group, you're just a boot licking little helper monkey, or you're lying about EVERYTHING!

Face it, punXter. I just busted you. Now be a good boy and tell us everything.

Derp.

Seriously, bro, I was just giving you a hard time and trying to make you laugh after dealing with all the stuff you got goin' on with 8•3•11.info in general.

I admit, I've been a hard ass and I publicly apologize to you punXtr. I think it would be beneficial to all of us to work together like they're doin' over at ATS.

Those guys have a lot of wild theories, but they've missed out on a lot of stuff that we've covered.

Has anyone been working on cracking the log-in at http://8-3-11.info/stats?

I've been going over forspring questions and trying various answer combinations. So far, no luck. I'm sure it's something simple. It's just being over looked.

Umm is a coffee float okay?

NO. 8-3-11 don't drink coffee.

I say we drink coffee...even if it just for the double letters. Wink

Edit: corrected misspelled word

 Retraction

I asked multiple questions. 8.3.11 referred to event as a "retraction".

1) uprising using civil disobedience?

2) Help us understand "Retraction" which better defines;

    A. (noun) retraction
the act of retracting, or drawing back; the state of being retracted; as, the retraction of a cat's claws

    B. (noun) retraction
the act of withdrawing something advanced, stated, claimed, or done; declaration of change of opinion; recantation

    C. (noun) retraction
the act of retracting or shortening; as, the retraction of a severed muscle; the retraction of a sinew

    D. (noun) retraction
the state or condition of a part when drawn back, or towards the center of the body

3) Retraction clarified is Pulling/Taking Back something?

Retraction

Of course I was reading into this question and asnwer;

"Are you planning on bringing something down?

Like a roof? It's more of a retraction."

The event is about retracting something.

Sorry but I'm not sure how you got that location

Photoshop gives the GPS as 40 48.92N 75 44W
Safari web browser gives the GPS as
Latitude = 40.81533; LatitudeRef = N;
Longitude = 75.73333; LongitudeRef = W;

When I Google map either of those coordinate pairs I get the location

Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, United States

Which seems to be at the base of a large strip-mall sign in PA

If the Naval Annex you're referring to is located at
701 South Courthouse Road, Arlington, VA 22204-2198
then according to
http://www.gps-data-team.info

The GPS for the Annex is

38.8677664 N; -77.0810476

Have I made an error?

 Also
8X3X11

Also, if 8X3X11= is also a mathematical equation then it's 264.

http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&tpl=/ecfrbrowse/Title40/40cfr264_main_02.tpl

Article 264
Bible Dictionary Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Obligations can be extinguished in the following ways: 1 - By fulfillment of the obligations. 2 - By cancellation of the bargain. 3 - By release from the obligation. 4- By substitution of a different obligation. 5 - By set off and recoupment. 6 - By acquisition of the debt.

Throwing out ideas

If this isn't a mathematical thing let me know.
