[TRAILHEAD] Armadyne.net Related to Neill Blomkamps next project Elysium Posters are all around Comic-Con advertising Armadyne.net . ComingSoon.net has apparently confirmed it's related to Elysium , Neill Blomkamp's upcoming project (2013). There isn't much on the site right now, other than a video. It appears we'll be able to "apply" at some point.

The source code of the page also confirms the connection to Elysium as well as java content stored at sonypictures.com

I' been looking forward to Blomkamps Elysium ever since I heard the initial rumblings. Will have to keep an eye on this to help alleviate the long wait for March 2013.

I'm on board! I hope it doesn't end up being like the wasted potential that was District 9...

I really enjoyed the District9 websites, the blog, the build-up for an entire year before the movie's release. Perhaps it did fizzle towards the end, but I have seen much worse efforts in viral marketing than the D9 campaign. My own expectations were met. But let's not derail this thread with resashing the past ;) I just wanted to point out that the new website is hosted on the same server as http://www.d-9.com/ (but then, so are 6000 other movie promotion domains) Sony Pictures also did the "Institute for Human Continuity" ARG for their 2012 movie (and remnants of that experience are still live, and also on the same server), which may have been lacking in some areas but was awesome in others. You never know, but I think this bodes well for Elysium.

It reminds me a lot of the old ARG SkynetResearch.com "Terminator Salvation".

I believe the words and language are the same. Try comparing.http://armadyne.net/
Sorry, someone else will have to find the old thread here on UF at the moment.

That one was done by Warner Brothers, so maybe the similarity is a coincidence (or an artifact of the scifi genre itself)

Tough to read but I'm 99% sure it says:

Really really nice! I loved District9 and it's viral marketing webpage!
So I'm also on board!

I just remembered this from Comic Con this year. I saw all the display boards and took a picture of one, but only just got round to visiting it.
Shame there is nothing there apart from the video at the moment, but it could be interesting.
This is a link to my photo which shows the small print quite clearly.

Will there be a dedicated forum set up for this one ? I suppose we might have to wait until something actually happens

Cool - something related to something I actually care about, yay!
I just read the Terms of Use - now I feel dizzy and in need of a shower...

Man, I keep checking the site periodically but the Apply option is still "Coming Soon." Think they abandoned it?
Anybody at Comic-Con this year - can you maybe keep an eyeball out?
