Definitely a deliberate misspelling. I'm thinking it's easier to pass the messages phonetically? No idea. Whatever, it works I guess. Just make the note that it's spelled incorrectly and then see if there is a pattern in the next few messages.

It has something to do with apples, at least that seems to be the key:

So apples and he mentions that it will be much hotter where he is heading.....so the east coast is having a huge heat wave right now.....could he be heading to NYC?
