Halo2.com

Some new weirdness is going on with white snow that you would see on television and such. Some kind of connection coming up?

Wallpaper puzzle being discussed here.
Redundant thread here, as well.

Edit: Neeevermind, apparently this is new.

Halo2.com

Hmm. That is interesting. The way the picture becomes distorted reminds me of our favorite website.

Are you sure you weren't looking at the Australian site or something?

halo2.com still forwards for me to the xbox site.

however the au site has the snow (http://www.halo2.com.au/). I was looking at it earlier seeing if I could find other wallpaper clues. Didn't. But apparently Master Chief is doing some tour of Australia with Miss Universe and/or various other females ("girls"). (see News > Master Chief Sitings) Okay.

Maybe try clearing your cache.

Hey, check out the theatrical trailer on that site. At the end, the xbox.com URL changes to something else for a moment! What the--!

So you're going to halo2.com and getting snow too?

That is weird. Or I'm just weird.

edit: Thank you, MrToasty. That was dumb of me. Smile

Hmm I get the snow too. freaky, but I can't see that it leads anywhere at the moment.

edit: I'm referring to halo2.com and the australian one both. The australian one though I'm wondering if the snow is just part of the cinema, to symbolize those places getting glassed or something, like a camera going dead. The halo2.com one takes up more of the screen I think.

You're right. I blew it up as much as I could, and it looked like the code from the wallpaper (or at least very triangle-like). But it was so blurry I couldn't tell. Is there a higher resolution version somewhere?

Drat. This could be the encryption key.

Looks to me like it's just a theatrical effect...the Covenant are coming, and our surveillance system is starting to break up under their attacks...
...not that the Covies are actually attacking in any of the scenes, but that's what camera static usually means in scenes where a powerful force comes to beat the tar out of us.

All right, never mind. I was looking at the Australian web site where you get the footage of the Covie ships over Earth cities. I just recently saw the version where the whole site goes staticy, gets Jpeg compression artifacty, and then gets all tracking-error wavy. That's not just "our surveillance system is starting to break up".

Man, that's freaky

I'm wating for a big bold line to appear:

"I AM IN CONTROL NOW"

-Kisses & Luv;
Melissa <3

It also sounds like footsteps.

Metaphorically speaking, like Independence Day. They disrupt our satalites - or the ripples in the glass of water in Jurassic Park - metaphorically symbolizing the Covanent are marching to our doorstep.

Man - I went back to the site and it's giving me the chills...

It's not what you think
