Like many other people, I've come to the conclusion that this is indeed some kind of psychological test.

"I think 8•3•11 it's some sort of psychological test/social experiment. I observed a lot of things that led me to this conclusion. In the second, and third pictures (which seem the most important because those are the only ones you can "click" on) appears "USF" (University of South Florida) and , searching about USF I came across Samantha Groene's profile. I red about her that she is a psychologist, but seeing her C.V. strengthened my "theory".
I think (but I'm not sure) 36,000, which 175,000 said she was female, is Samantha. The others could be friends, acquaintances, colleagues of her (Andrew Caswell, Vanessa Hettinger, etc.).
In the picture named "Nature.png" is the poster on which you can read "Join the Aquarist Club at USF". This summer, Samantha founded the Aquarist Club at USF. It's obviously related to her. In the picture named "Nurture.png" we have some posters on which you can read "Latin Dance Club at USF", "AA at USF", "USF Health". In the picture named "Nested.png", on that poster above Belle's photo, you can see written "Florida".

I believe every photo showed on the site is took somewhere in Florida, because in almost every photo you can see words in Spanish (and that's why people where asking on formspring if you speak Spanish).

The first photo on http://8-3-11.info/ImagesofBelle.html is purposely named "Germany.png" so it would differentiate from the rest of the pictures, which are took in Florida.
The people in the image named "Friends.png" could be friends of Samantha, though I am not sure about this one.
I don't know about the other pictures, but what I said above makes me think this site, this experiment, is somehow related to Mrs. Groene, related to the University of South Florida."

I've send them an email, but they didn't reply even though I asked to respond to my email. So, there are two possibilities: my "theory" is wrong (this is the most plausible) or they don't want to reply.

As many have agreed. It's highly suspicious that the clues are useless and unrelated. It's like in lost, you though you'd know all the secrets, and related characters and misteries about them, and all those questions: but what happened to this guy? and what this other guy has to do with this other guy? etc.
THEN, the finale came, and voila: a finale who doesn't explain everything, and you said... but hey! i want to know about what happened to this guy!! and: "i'm sorry, no one ever told you that all your questions would be answered"... so... it's like that.

Many of us expect that on august 3rd "the truth will be releases" but hey, what if they just reveal something, and you find belle or whatever other clue has nothing to do with all this thing?...

Another thing, what about the nazi cientists who continued their work in the U.S.? just an idea.
