In my experience you usually have to put the answer in the url in between the / and the .htm which will take you to a new page, but that might not be the case here as I've put Dante forward and backwards full name and first name into the url and nothing has happened.
Edit: By the way can anyone get a source on those pictures or the quotes? I assumed Dante's Inferno but a quick Google search has me doubting this.

Here's a source for the photos, they are illustrations done by Gustav Dore.

As for the quotes, no kloo.

Damn I was just looking through a different gallery of his and I missed them.
Edit: I got excited when looking over one of the pictures for anything hidden inside them because I thought I found something. Turns out it was the artist's signature. *facepalm*

Another page was added under five.
It seems I was correct on my assumption of email address. We are to send the five answers to initiationSPLAT orderofumbra.com
I'm not really sure what the question is on the 5th one so i'm going to hazard a guess.
List of my answers on questions so far
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1.Dante
2.Souls
4.A sad and morbid lovers tale
5.Satan (?) (Could be lucifer. I don't know why Satan popped into my mind)

Nice guess CherryTree, and I completely agree with your answers I guess we have to wait for the third pic now.

Third one is up. I've sent off the email with my answers. I'll report back if they're all correct or not.
Edit: Unless these quotes are not taken from the Inferno. It's not part of the Divine Comedy, and like other people have said it's not coming up on google.

No response yet, but after reading the email I keep thinking we'll have to wait for the end of the "challenge" to see the results.
@catgirl: I hope you didn't use my 5th answer guess. Wouldn't want both of us crashing and burning because of my bad guess.
These were my answers to the questions that i put in the email.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1.Dante
2.Souls
3.Ammit
4.A sad and morbid lover's tale
5. Satan/Lucifer (Depending on if you want a specific term to the same person.)

Honestly, I think the last answer is Baphomet or Leviathon both referencing a beast that would eat or swallow those entering Hell. If the words that revealed the true name was absorbed by the very same mouth... not a complete thought, but not as generic as Satan or Lucifer.

Honestly you're probably right Punxtr. I don't really know what it's supposed to reference. I've checked the inferno for the quote and there was nothing. I'll check the other books, but I doubt they'll be there. Well I'll check into it.
Edit: Okay I pretty much am sure that this is not from any of the 3 books of the divine comedy. Or the PDF I have is sure not finding it with the search function.
*Shrugs* I hope you sent an email with your answer punxtr. As i'm almost sure my answer is incorrect.

FYI, the passages seem to be based on canto V of the Inferno book (in which Dante meets Francesca de Rimini) though are heavily altered. I noticed some sentences were still word-for-word, but it's possible they wrote it this way themselves, because the major difference is in the fifth passage. It just doesn't happen in the original text. Dante faints and arrives in the next circle before she can tell him anything like that. I can't find any source that says otherwise.
I was wondering if this did not refer to the "true sacred name of Umbra" that only Dante knows, but then of course we wouldn't know it either.
So I like punxtr's thoughts anyway.

@RandomGuy26: Which is why the 5th one confuses me so. They say there should be 5 answers. (I've only seen 4 direct questions) It also confuses me that they say
Quote:
If you wish to learn the true name of evil,
So what's the real question here if we aren't supposed to know the true name of evil?
I guess once we get emails back we'll see.

Sorry I flaked out for a bit, had some stuff going on but I'm going to try and help where and when I can. I got some extremely interesting stuff in the mail which I plan to scan momentarily. It appears I've been sent some specific items used in a ritual, and have been asked to post a video or pictures of me performing this ritual as proof of having performed this ritual. At this moment I dont have access to a video camera or even a regular camera since my phone is broken and ive been roughing it without one.
Im guessing this was also sent to all others who applied to the Order of Umbra.
Scans inc..
(Sorry in advance for the size, photobucket and gimp werent playing nice and wouldnt save the crops that I tried over and over)
The other stuff came in little plastic bags with white stickers on them with labels for the contents of each. Theyre hard to scan and not really worth scanning so I can just describe them:
1.) Label: Salvia Officinalis. Contains a blueish gray herb that smells like sage.
2.) Label: Sal. Contains salt. (Sal is latin for salt)
3.) Label: Argentum. Contains a small bracelet. (Argentum is latin for silver)
4.) Label: Lux. Contains a small candle. (Lux is latin for Light)
Thats it.. Im going to try and get my hands on a camera so I can send the photo to the email addy provided.
