Well according to a new hint:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
MetaVRX: Feel with your eyes, see with your hands

EyeSee is Braille.

Don't use original plot points that you move, only those that were there already and the point to which you moved the originals.

LEAK

http://www.lessonstolearn.net/leak.html

There is no spork

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The binary decodes to:
Nam : Avery, J me
e t: Ex utive

Weird pic attached

Missing letters possibly EASTXEC

As on the original Metacortechs directory page, entering "AveryJames" (well you can't actually enter names in this page, it's already there) gives a binary string, which decodes to:

Nam : Avery, J me
e t: Ex utive

The missing letters are easdpec, which anagrams to escaped, which sorta fits the MU theme, although http://www.lessonstolearn.net/escaped.html gives a 404

Edit: D'oh, Caterpillar edited as I was posting. This isn't trout I swear! Razz

is that a barcode along the side? a postal barcode?

translating the tall and short dashes to 1's and .'s
and using http://www.triskelion-ltd.com/postnetj.html

I took 111...1...1.11....11.11......111..1...11.1.1...1..1.11....11.1

and decoded it to "07630-1839-46 with a checksum of 3"
it calls it a "POSTNET 11 digit delivery point ZIP code"
Which is in Emerson NJ.
someone should send a package.
Or maybe we can find the street address that corresponds to this zip code.
or maybe it's the 11 digits that are our next puzzle.

follow-up: it's a church, or next door to a church. Emerson Bible Church, 162 Linwood Avenue, Emerson, NJ, 07630-1839

Um, as far as I can tell, that's the exact same picture that's up at the real metacortechs site. The barcode thing on the right means nothing. It's just a result of the filter I originally put the picture through.

Somebody has way too much time on their hands.

This whole thing is pretty amazing. Freaky, but amazing. Can't wait till they deal with Wongmo... Smile

hey i dunno if this means anything, but...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you go to www.metacortechs.com and click on directory at the bottom, it brings up a map. Click on the green dot from the LEAK map and it brings up an employee search. type in averyjames and you get the same interface as before. Does anyone know if there is anythign different on this interface besides the credits link that takes you to the MU game credits.
[/spoiler]

The credits, by the way, are really interesting.

I didn't play this game, but I really enjoyed reading the behind the scenes stuff. Fascianting look into a PM's world.

It was so too in MU. This is kindda in intertextuality to MU.

I find that incredibly freaky that the barcode translates to EMERSON, new jersey.

I mean, of all the random things ...

Heh, guys, it's actually not the same image - the barcode has been added. Observe attached pics.

So:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We have "emerson" and "escaped" (from the missing letters). Put together:

I'd like to take a moment to raise a "yay" for superfluous Matrix quotes. Mr. Green

In Verdana, the following letters are plucked out of the gibberish Latin filler: esseraseacolonoge
