Not yet, I don't think. I'm still really iffy on the idea that Woodsy is Blasky. I don't know, man. Even with night vision on, black wouldn't just turn white like that. And even if it was infrared, combined with the night vision, it still wouldn't look stark white.

Please check my post on page 28.

Sorry about that, still haven't read up on all the pages. Makes sense now.

Please rewatch 42! He was Slendertranced earlier. That is the point! I made a big post 10 pages ago.

Watch all of 42. Note the motion of the camera and the sounds of him walking. It is SOOO smooth and natural until the jump. Then all of a sudden he is walking really heavy and it gets worse and worse!

Look at Alex enter the HOLE! Look at his arms hanging loosely by his sides! His knees barely bend. I promise it is hugely different from the start to finish of 42.

Did you miss the part where I said that I believe it's a Slender-trance?

However:

Quote:
Did any of you think that perhaps the "Slendertrance" we all think Alex was in when he approached the operator is just him resisting to the operator's control? The Operator could have something along the lines of an aura, which could explain why Alex was walking the way that he did, he was pushing against it. The aura could also explain the video and audio distortions.
Remember, Slendy is a paranormal being, after all. It's not completely out of the question.

While it makes more sense to me that it's a Slendertrance, this is a valid train of thought as well. That's why I said it's only a possible-fact that it was a trance, rather than an outright fact.

Quote:
You must not have read them, then? I've been saying that him going towards the Operator in 43 is because of Slendertrance. What people were saying was the Operator and Alex were working together because he went towards him in the forest. However, he was clearly being drawn in by SOME force, making it irrelevant. Also, neither this entry nor Entry 44 ever show them working together under Alex's free will, which is what everyone was pretty much saying. There's no evidence for this AT ALL. If they are working "together", it's far more likely Alex is partially controlled by the Operator.

Perhaps we're operating under two different definitions of "together", then. I never said that Alex is doing it of his own free will; what I mean is that, regardless of if he's doing it voluntarily or not, he's on the side of the Operator.

Quote:

Anyway, night-vision doesn't really work like that, only changing colors. It also depends on the material of the color in question, since night-vision generally works by shining an infrared light at what you're filming, and capturing that light. So, if the black ink on Masky's mask absorbs that light, it will appear black, but if Hoodie or Woodsy's cloth mask reflects some of that light, it will appear grey.

This is what I was wondering; how night-vision affects different materials. Thanks for that, though I'm still iffy on if it's Hoody/Blasky or not. It seems a little counterintuitive for it to be the same costume as him--which it looks like--but someone else, but at the same time, the mask does look different. I don't have a camera available to me to try it out, either. :/

Quote:
Considering the only noticeable differences between 41 masked guy and this masked guy are the colors of the masks, I think we can all definitely say that we CAN't BE SURE that the two are either the same or different

This.

Quote:
Before I begin, though, I want to say that I do agree that there are 3 people other than Alex and the Operator in this video.

I do want to question, however, why people think there are three people. We only ever see two on-screen, and neither of them speak. Is there evidence for the third? If so, could you please present it? I really am curious.

Video in night vision. Shows up white, but guy says,
"I was wearing a black robe and mask."
Just an example of how black can be bleached when filmed with the camera light filter. Also, it's obviously implied that this is blasky. Especially since Jay didn't designate that this guy has not been seen. He pointed out the individual masked people as they came into the picture, both with masky and blasky, on his twitter. It is certainly meant to be perceived as blasky.

Thank you for this!

Heh... Skully isn't even really known to be a mask at all, unless I've missed something big.

skully has been proven to be a mask.

Showing a fuzzy screenshot doesn't exactly prove anything. That just looks like a face painted onto a balloon or gourd to me.

Quote:

If the question was meant to be from The Operator's point of view, then what would that mean?

If it was from TTA's point of view, then what what would THAT mean? Is it a question directed at/about J? Or Alex? Or The Operator?

Perhaps it means, "Should I try to save Alex from the Operator? Or just kill him?". (Then again, it could also somehow refer to Jay.)

Quote:
What I want to know is what jay Thought this was. He said he thought it was something in his tweet. What did he mean by that? Hmmm.

I like to think it's that Alex is most definitely compromised at this point.

Quote:
If Hoody and Masky ARE opposed to the Operator, however, then that works against the Hoody is TTA theory. Remember Return? The Operator walked straight up to TTA's camera, persumably with TTA right there. It's unlikley in that situation that TTA would have survived if they were opposed to the Operator. Of course, they may have been working together at one point, but then had a change of heart.

Maybe, just maybe The Operator can't sense anything whose face is covered?

Quote:
Whoever tackled Alex has an even gait, but there is no way that hooded figure we clearly have proof of (not sure what their name is) could just magically appear on the other side of Alex when the camera ends up on the ground, if they tackled him.

How do we know they have an even gait? Is sounds of footsteps or something?

Well, I just typed up something massive and then it disappeared. Sad day. But, as someone said earlier, I think the Mask Crew are out to end TO, without without certain players alive.

Extra crazy speculation ahoy, me hearties. Feel free to pass by it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This is one of those theories that develop in my mind half without any real backing other than a few key plot points, so feel free to view it as such. I do honestly hope the plot ends up being more contrived than this, because this idea is, in my mind, sort of weak. That said...

I'm not beyond considering that TO lives as a sort of "imaginary friend gone real/wrong" with Boogeyman-like lifelines, contingent upon people's thoughts. Basically, if people forget him, he's gone. If they remember, he's there (supported by the reappearance to Alex at his home when the camera is found). The only thing that sprung this idea to me at first was the video of toddler Alex, and the passing thought of "Oh man, they were bros even then".

Then I began to notice how much "care" seems to be put in to Alex's interactions with Slendy. I can't get it out of my mind that, in one video, he simply WALKS RIGHT THE FUCK UP TO HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF A PARK with no known repercussions (that I recall). Now? Walking up to him makes for a coughing fit and possible possession. I think the more people who know about him, the stronger he becomes in that respect, explaining TTA's aims: destroy those who believe in him. The hesitance of "help or kill" come mostly toward Jay, who is sort of unwittingly drawn into the situation. This also explains why they were so adamant about obtaining the hard drive (complete with password in hand).

Yes, Alex was potentially possessed by TO, but comes back seemingly unscarred and reportedly having seen his girlfriend. TO isn't antagonistic towards Alex in the classic way; he simply wants to dominate his life, and have messages of his life passed on, to ensure that he will proceed to exist. Irony being, of course, that it is in fact Jay who seems to be spreading his message most.

I really, really like this.

Quote:

Well, the person who walked passed J's car in Entry #39 was too concealed to be seen. It could have been one of them, but I don't think we can necessarily know for sure. On the subject of TiMasky being in some of the ToTheArk videos, that may very well be some evidence. However, I still believe that there might be something else going on... But honestly, this series has really confused me a lot. So, it's hard to tell...

Who else would it have been, though? It was too short and stout to be the Operator, in my opinion, and considering we get the reverse shot of 39 in the reply to it, it makes sense that it's someone from ToTheArk.

There's no reason at all that everything would be fucked up when they had several weeks to organize it.

I'm not saying that it couldn't be Blasky (colour distortion *could* do that), but stop using this argument. It's an insult to Troy, at the very least.

Thank you for answering why people believe there's three people in the video. I can see the evidence now, though I still think it's simpler to have just two people considering we don't see the third.

Anyway, I apologize for this incredibly long post, and if it sounds like I answer some of my own questions as it progressed. (I was catching up on the entire thread.)

I can berate someone for saying something stupid. Maybe they won't do it again and we will all benefit from bit less idiocy. Just a bit, though. These discussions are always rampant with asinine, braindead remarks. "Are we sure that's Masky?" "That blurry body looks like a girl to me, you guys." "The branches spell something, lol." "Are we sure Tim is Masky?" "You guys, I think they totally decided to throw in a third masked antagonist, who wears a very similar costume to 'Blasky' or 'hoodie' or whatever the fuck we're calling them. But it's totally not Hoodie! That makes sense, right? If I were making a Slenderman Vlog, I would totally introduce a third antagonist who looks just like the second in a grainy, dark, blurry video where you can't really tell. Totally."

Please stop calling this "new" figure ToTheBark. Please. That name is already taken and thrown away. Don't tack it onto a figure who is most likely Hoody. And if it is Hoody, you can call it ToTheBark because that was Hoody's original nickname. x-x

Anyways, I did send a tweet to Jay asking, "In Entry #45... Was that a new masked person with Tim? Or was it the same figure who returned your camera in Entry #41?" No response yet but I don't think I'm expecting one.

You do understand what video analysis means, yes? So what if people are throwing around ideas, theories, and various screenshots? Does it really hurt you that much to see someone post their opinion? If so, I suggest you get off the internet because every person here has their own opinion. If you cannot response in a mature way, that's a shame. You'll get more people to agree with you if you calmly state your position instead of yelling at someone for an idea you don't agree with.

also, first time posting.
hi!

Congratulations, your first post was incredibly stupid.

Congratulations, you're a total ass. No need to berate someone for trying to come up with a theory.

Totally."

I didn't yell at them. I am sadly unable to yell through text. I suppose I could use capslock, but that would look silly. (Predicting the following response: "But you already DO look silly, you big meanie jerk. Lol.") You have not argued against my point in any way. If somebody says something incredibly stupid, I have every right to allude to it and say, "Hey buddy, you oughta know that what you said is incredibly stupid. You should think more before you make people read your idiotic ideas that make no sense." Why? Again, and I repeat because you totally dodged my statement and made an argument that was directed at nothing, my hope is that pointing out stupidity will help reduce stupidity. It is a lost hope, I know. But at least I feel better as a result.
