Good luck on leaving a message, the mail box is currently full as of 9:09pm EDT. I know this cos i just tried so late in the day, there haven't been any axons in the Tallahassee area that I could report to. Sorry if this was already known to you guys and gals. If i do get through, the name should be Lance Corporal peanut385.

I got the same problem. Voice mail full. I would be dissapointed if it's because of people who already have nearby axons.

I called first thing this morning, so hopefully I'll be accepted. To prove my loyalty, I said that I helped crewmembers coordinate passphrases and to convey her imaging instructions to others. Hope that's enough. I forgot what else I was going to say, choked, and hung up after a pretty short message. For what it's worth, I don't have any axons anywhere close to me.

Yeah. The mailbox-ful thing is annoying. I'm trying first thing tommorow morning, which is about... 6:30 PDT, so I might have a chance if they empty the box - either that, or if they leave it full until the next week's transmissionis... well, I'll be very, very annoyed.

I've just been looking for a way to get into the game. I missed my chance during the first set of axons cos I had to move from the orlando area to Tallahassee for school. Since then, I haven't seen any axons within 300 miles of me, which is really irks me.

[OT] Symbol [OT] Sinchou, what does the symbol you use for your avatar represent? I'm unfamiliar with it.[/OT]

I think it's the logo of the band Him.

But there must be some reason behind its design.

Important heads-up for anyone who may be hoping to join Melissa's crew: her voice mail inbox has been emptied, and you can now call with your own secure axon number (and proof of loyalty) once again.
Man, this is exciting- not having a car and being stuck on a suburban college campus during the main axon hunt was like being stuck in a Babbage Machine. Here's what I just submitted (more or less).
Quote:
Hello Melissa,
This is Lieutenant Tarrsk, Communications Specialist for ODST Squad #42. I've spent the past few months isolated from fellow Apocalypso crew due to malfunction in the navigational controls of my escape pod. However, I have gained access to local network capabilities and now have an axon available for contact at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Repeat: XXX-XXX-XXXX.
Okay, allow me to prove my loyalty. Our enemy is the Covenant. Your favorite song is Stormy Weather. Currently, you are having difficulties with a rogue process known as the Sleeping Princess, as well as an entity called the Pious Flea. You are also searching for a person known as Dana, whose last recorded location was in Japan.
I hope to hear from you soon. It's a pleasure to finally return to UNSC service.
Lieutenant Tarrsk, Out.

It's really a bummer for us without Cell Phones. If I called and wanted to become crew, I would need to leave when I'm available, too. I don't think the PMs would want to bother with availability times, though.
Because of not having a cell, I can't call payphones, either, and none of my friends are into ILB. Now, if that single Omaha Axon Hunter would surface and read this, then I could get some help, but right now, it's hopeless for me.
*le sigh*

As funny as this sounds, I called and expected the mailbox to be full, but it wasn't, so the message I left had me sounding so nervous and confused I don't think I'll get a call back. I also offered to send her video of me dancing as proof of my loyalty.

Same here. I had my little spiel written out in advance, but I was so shocked not to hear "this mailbox is full; please try again later" that I just sorta stared at the sheet blankly for about five seconds. Then, once I realized what was going on, I raced through the whole thing about five times faster than normal talking speed.
