I have a similar theory, I was figuring any type of anti-colefusion movement that was beginning to take shape in the present is being dealt with by going into the past and erasing the people before they can do any harm. Making it as if like they never existed.
Virgil observations of the strange sensations he had around the gray man, indicates to me that he is Colefusions tool to go back into the past to do so. Perhaps even some kind of temporal assassin.

I think the reason Virgil got killed instead of erased is perhaps it was because there was no 'movement' around him. You only had to remove one man. Where as CHT or S3P was a group with some momentum.

To add to Rich's reply to this, I too had a the comment about S3P from CHT when I contacted them. The funny thing was I never mentioned S3P in my email.
Personally, I think it might have just been a goof on the PM part. I think the reason for the comment was to show that the S3P group was not stopped, they were erased like they never existed.

 		More fuel for the fire:

1. I agree we don't know if Kate is alive or dead or in hiding, though I wouldn't be surprised to read a familiar-sounding story about her in the next CJP update.

2. In addition to the other leads mentioned by others, we seem to still have "Mary Smith" feeding us clues through the CJP. She might be cara or EVE, or connected to them somehow, but her stories don't disappear and always lead somewhere.

3. Our main "active" lead right now is Thomas Rutlidge, it seems to me. He wants "out", but we should pull him back in. We have an address, and also what may be a coded message on the CD sleeve. My thinking is "GROWN TOWN COFFESHOP" just doesn't sound right, is misspelled, and in all block caps, so it must be a coded message, right?

EDIT: Two more things (sorry): Any chance that there's a message hidden in the billing statement that was in the package? And, it may not matter at all, but Christien what was the title of the book where you found the package?

I don't, but from our context the distinction betweenbalive andbdead is irrevalent. The blog is gone and I am willing to bet an internet cookie that if we email her no reply will come from her. Still, I am gonna try it anyway, just as a test of the hypothesis. Regardless of living or dead it's likely the Kate we were cooperating with is no more.

Emailing Thomas is a good idea. I don't have his address but someone should pester him.

Not surprisingly, no reply.

Also, I just reviewed the PI agency docs we have imaged from the file drop. There is no email but a fictitious address of 1316 Grover St., City W3H2H3. This is not valid for Montreal (although there is a Grove Park in Westmount). However, 1 curious thing I did notice: The name of the agency is RUTLIDGE PI Services at the top of the forms, while the signature reads T RUTTLAGE at the bottom of the contract!

Oh man, I'm sorry. I forgot to update you guys with that...
I went down to the drop off location hoping to see if there was something or somebody, anything that would indicate I should leave the package there... I clearly told them I would be there at 1:00pm. I got there around 12:50 and waited until about 1:15 or 1:20.
Nothing.
I chose to keep the package... For now. I figure if Kate has gone missing, I'd better hang on to it so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

I was thinking I might be approached by somebody. I wore the same clothes as I did for the pick up so I would be easily identified. But nothing of note happened.

I was looking the whole time at the customers in the store trying to figure out if anybody from the game was there. I must say, pretty creepy not knowing who is looking at you and who is just looking in your general direction.
I am getting the full effect of the ARG...

I can't think of anything, sorry.
There are literally hundreds of coffee shops in town, and this is the worst year ever in the city's history for construction. Everything is being redone, so I'm not sure what constitutes as 'new'.

Here is a photo of the paper that the PI left me, so I could find the book.
It translates to "Cosmos:A history of the Sky".
I don't think there is anything particular about the book or it's title. I believe that it was chosen because it was a very large book which could hide the folder.

Apparently this email only came to members of the PR team? I can't find anything about this on the ColeFusion or City Journal Post sites, and haven't received any such emails. Do you have a link to the announcement you can share, Christien? Thanks!
