Coordination for next week Perhaps this is premature (hopefully Melissa will give us another advance clue similar to her suggestion that we "arrive at these axons with digital imaging capability") but has anyone given any thought to some sort of central coordination for next week?
I will not be available, as I have to work on Tuesday. In addition, I do not feel it would be appropriate for me to attempt to coordinate again, as I do not want to monopolize the coordination activities.
So, is there anyone willing to start looking for advance volunteers -- I feel that having people on hand in advance, even though our coordination structure for last Tuesday turned out to be mostly superfluous, is probably wise in case Melissa wants us to do something that requires inter-team coordination (rather than just intra-team coordination, which of course is in very competent hands on the local level).

I would be extremely willing to step up and take on this responsiblity.
If there is any one that would be interested in helping with the coordination please pm me. I'm guessing we'll get some clue on friday as to what will be expected for the following week. If we do, we can use this thread to spec on what we'll be expected to do and what kind of team we'll need to accomplish it.
*side note*
Thanks Phaedra and Mad Cow for your leadership last week. You guys rock.

As always, I will be here to help. Once we know what we are up against, I think we can figure it out a little better as to what we are going to need.

OK, but the lesson of last week is don't get too into the weeds based on last week's task.
And don't plan anything until we see whatever hints we might get Friday.
At most, take names of people who think they have time/phone/computer access Tuesday and play it from there.

That's the plan.
If you'll be avaliable on tuesday and would be willing to help out if necessary please pm me with your:
1. name
2. Times avaliable
3. Phone avaliablity (I don't need your number, just need to know if your willing to have people call you, or if you can call others.)
4. Computer access
5. Anything else you might consider helpful...
Then, when we have some clue as to what we'll be doing, we can assemble that info into some kind of action plan...

I'll be in the IRC chatroom pretty much all day, if everything goes to plan around here. Though I really probably should be studying. (Or sleeping, for that matter...)
I'll be more than willing to help answer anyone looking for information, or just help out generally while everything is going down. Should be fun, watching everything pan out last time was.. enlightening, to say the least.

Mad Cow's automated calling thing was awsome.
But talking to him it seems that it would cost $0.10 per call now...
I say we all send him a $0.50 to a $1 and get that thing back online.

Ok, it's getting close to that time of the week again, and we really don't have any clue as to what might be expected of us.
So, for the time being I'll just list the positions I figure we would most likely need and see if there is anyone that can fill them.
PASSPHRASE COORDINATOR (PC): This person will receive new passphrases from beekeepers who have just talked to Melissa. They will then notify the PASSPHRASE SUPPLIER and CHAT COORDINATOR and post the new phrase to a thread in the Forum.
PASSPHRASE SUPPLIER (PS): This individual will know the most recent passphrases and will be the person to call to find out what the newest passphrase is. They will also have the capability to call axon hunters (say, 5 minutes before their axon time) who have notified them ahead of time that they would like such a call and update them with the most current passphrases.
CHAT COORDINATOR (CC): This person will repeatedly broadcast the newest passphrases in #beekeepers and whatever other chat resources beekeepers use. Possibly multiple positions? I really don't know much about the chat resources.
FORUM WATCHER (FW): This person will monitor the forums, in case anyone for some reason posts the new passphrase in a random thread rather than calling in. If someone does, they will inform the PC.
BLOG COORDINATOR (BC): Someone to post updates to the blog and other related media?
In my opinion those are the most likely positions that would need to be filled. If you can fill one tommorrow, or part of the day pm me or just post here and I'll update the list as we go.

The PM's have once again deigned to make my Dothan, AL axon the first of the day at 8:01 PDT. I also have a friend that can post for me if the need be. You guys want i should post here with the question (and answer, if i can think of it) of the day?
I seem unable to find the old "What might the future question/answer be?" thread.
In any case, i'll be in touch, but i leave around 7:40 CDT (5:40 PDT ) tomorrow because it's a good drive out to my axon. If all goes well, i can have the answer posted within 3-5 minutes of my call ending.

Please post it here, and I will be sure that it is passed on to all the other channels of information. Thanks man.
Edited to add: You can also pm it to Giskard so he can update the main "What to do/say" thread where all the previous answers have been kept.

I can do CC and BC again. I'll also jump in wherever needed. I'm actually going to have an axon to go to this time, so I won't be home all day like I have been the past couple weeks, but I should be here most of the day. Send me a PM if there's anything extra that needs to be done.

Thanks KirstenS. I'll post any info I recieve here, and I'll pm it to you so that you have it as quickly as possible. Again, thanks for your help.
I'll post my cell phone number here tommorrow morning and I will be avaliable to recieve any passwords (if we have those again) and I will also be able to update anyone who wants to know any late breaking info before answering their axon.
If anyone is willing to help out with either the Password suppling or recieving I'd gladly accept the help, but if not my number will be avalible for either task.

Thanks all. I'll have my friend get the info up as soon as is possible after my call. She'll post in my name.
Thunderclap: My question pertained to where i should locate the information. Most hopefully, i would be able to do so in such a way that it would be easily dissiminated to all the other axon hunters. I've been unable to locate the past thread for the guessing/confimation of the questions/answers. It's most likely dead and buried under all the new topics relating to the amazing crewmember antics/activities.
Angelo: Thanks for the confimation. I'll try to see about guiding my friend through the process of PM'ing Giskard after my initial post is made. Said friend isn't a member of the forums, or even an avid beekeeper. Like i hinted at earlier though said friend is necissary to the process, as it would take over 2 hours for me to return from the axon.
