Simple, multiply the decimal portion by 7, writing down and removing the integer part each time, and repeating this until you have an absolute true error less than whatever you specify.

Technically it would be such a small number it would almost be the exact same any way. It wouldn't matter too much, especially considering significant digits. Work beckons. Be back momentarily.

 		I don't get this equation. It's false. Either that, or we don't understand the right-hand side correctly yet. Is it a negative sign or an A? I found nothing interesting next to the raddix point when in base 7 for 5.8013468... no repeating numbers that have any mathematical significance.

That's what I've been seeing as well. It is either a false equation or we are supposed to solve for A. Maybe the point is that the equation is incorrect? Or maybe we are just being played with.

Ok, from that it sounds like he purposefully sent us a false equation since he keeps saying that he already knows what it is. I don't want to sound like a goober if that isn't the case though.

 		Maybe we should send him something back that lets him know that we understand it. Like maybe our own little equation for him to solve. Something recognizable though, like the speed of light or something.

 		He... Definitely seems nicer, I'll say that. He didn't say a single thing negative about us, which seems a bit out of character for him. XD

And yay, wiki! I was just thinking last night how helpful one would be. If I don't get caught up in a million things today, I'll start going through this thread and putting up as much as I can.
