Honestly, I didn't hear Jay's phone go off the first time I listened to the video. I was more surprised Alex didn't hear Jay clomping up the stairs.

From the way Jay took off, it sounded like Alex either didn't look, or look and didn't care. It's heavily implying he's on The Operator's side, voluntarily or not, in my opinion.

This entry, he was pissed at Jay for breaking in. The last entry, presumably TO maybe showed up saved saved Alex's tush from the masks. Entry 26, Alex was pissed at Amy.

I know this doesn't fit in with the older entries, but that's my explanation for why Alex might not see TO here (or other entries. Does Alex ever actually acknowledge the presence of TO? [besides 26. {I like brackets.}])


He's incredibly freaked out about Marble Hornets in general, and doesn't he go to confront The Operator at one point in an earlier entry?

Perhaps the Operator was mimicking or even transmitting Alex's voice? Alex also leaves the room shortly after that, and there's no distortion as he walks by.

But let's say that I am wrong about teleportation and that there was enough time for that (meaning that our friend that walked by the closet was suitboy). Why then, was Alex so calm in speaking to Jay right after he was assalted? Something fishy has to be going on.

Jay stays there longer than it took Alex to notice the hooded person in 45, and we hear no shout of "HEY" or Alex going back up the stairs to grab his camera. I don't think it takes place at the same time. Plus, Alex doesn't have anything in his hands when he goes out in 45, whereas he's taking the trash out in this entry.

I just squished my ear to the speaker. It definitely says "lead", not "left", in my mind. Perhaps he's still trying to make Jay think he's on his side, but as soon as The Operator appears behind him he just decides "FUCK IT LET'S TRY TO KILL HIM" or something?


Also, that book looks to me a little on the large side to be a typical journal sold at, say, Barnes & Noble.

At that point, he was looking for Alex for answers.
Even though that was a tip where Brian could be, it wouldn't hurt to call out for him, I suppose.

Jay was looking for Alex. Brian's house was the only lead he had.

 		I actually like the theory that Slendy is an extension of Alex's emotions. But that wouldn't explain how Jay encountered Slendy in the woods or in Return. Alex had no idea he was in the woods.

Well he called both names, Brian second, as to saying Alex's name first, may have been because he knew Alex better, or because he was there trying to find where Alex was, leading him to Brians house

Maybe Slendy started out like that, but then grew into a tangible being with a mind of his own?

Regarding the key, I have two theories:

1. The key it Alex's spare key to his apartment. This explains why it isn't on his normal key ring. Jay is hoping to be able to return later and find more information.

2. The key is Amy's old key to her and Jessica's apartment. Alex somehow got a hold of it when Amy disappeared. Or perhaps Alex had a key there beforehand. But he has taken the key off his keyring. Perhaps this is to keep him from going to Amy's place on the spur of the moment?

Regarding "why did you lead him here," I think it's possible that this isn't referring to the Operator, who appears to know where Alex lives anyway, but a member of the Mask Collective. Alex is very clearly at odds with the Maskies, who have been known to follow Jay. If entry #45 happens AFTER this entry, Jay could be the reason the Maskies know where Alex lives to lure him out for Tim's little revenge.


That's actually a really good theory. I've thought all along that the Maskies and TTA are in cahoots, and working against TO, so if I'm right and Alex is in a Slentrance through this whole conversation, it would make sense that The Operator, speaking through Alex, would be displeased. TTA/The Masked Alliannce seem to always know where to find Jay, after all.

...Now that I think of it, this explains Alex's hatred for Timasky, too.

((ahhhhh. It's storming here so bad right now, and the power's already gone out once. Why? Why, right after a new, scary Entry?))

I heard lead too, honestly. Doesn't mean it makes sense though.If Alex was aware of TO, then he didn't care at all.

 		I find it weird that some folks didn't see Oppy outside the window. I even had to screencap it for my brother because he didn't see it. It's onscreen for at least a second-and-a-half, it's what causes Jay to freak out, and a good chunk of the dialogue between him and Alex deals with it. Did a bunch of people collectively blink at that precise moment?

Also, my cell started buzzing at the exact time Jay's did. I actually didn't realize Jay's was, too, until I hit the button on mine and the sound kept going.

 		But Alex wasn't mad when he first encountered Slend, whether it was when he was taking Rocky out for a walk or when he saw him in the park. No high emotions at all.

Also, I completely forgot Jay saw Slendy in that one house.

As to the "Leading", perhaps there is more than one Operator? And they all don't get along. And the one that J lead there? The foe of Alex's personal Demon. That's why he wrote "Help" on his little summoning sheets.


I think it's pretty much been implied it's been one figure stalking and teleporting.
Most likely Alex wants to be freed from the Operator's influence?

I dunno. This who season Mr. Thin's behavior has been a little.... inconsistent. He's not the same tall, dark, and loomy we grew to love last season. I mean, he's not showing up in the same fashion, nor does he seem to want the same thing.

Not that I'm saying I can read some eldric horror from beyond space and time's mind, but its makes you wonder. Perhaps Slenderman is just how "Operators" appear to J.

Or maybe I've been doing database work too long.
