I believe it's pretty obvious TO has been simply wanting Alex. And now he's almost completely taken over him. It's like In Insidious (SPOILERS) when the old woman gets closer and closer to the main guy in photos, and at the end when he finally confronts the demon lady, she takes over his body. Actually, it's surprisingly shocking to me now that I realize how closely the relatinoship between TO and Alex is between the demon lady and the main guy/

Likely they guy who installed it marked when it was last inspected.

As to the "Leading", perhaps there is more than one Operator? And they all don't get along. And the one that J lead there? The foe of Alex's personal Demon. That's why he wrote "Help" on his little summoning sheets.

Most likely Alex wants to be freed from the Operator's influence?

I dunno. This who season Mr. Thin's behavior has been a little.... inconsistent. He's not the same tall, dark, and loomy we grew to love last season. I mean, he's not showing up in the same fashion, nor does he seem to want the same thing.

Not that I'm saying I can read some eldric horror from beyond space and time's mind, but its makes you wonder. Perhaps Slenderman is just how "Operators" appear to J.

Or maybe I've been doing database work too long.

there are multiple faceless figures on the book. This is probably the first reasonable "Multiple Slendies" comment's I've seen.

Now that multiple maskies and multiple TTAs have all but been confirmed, are we looking to promote multiple Slendys now too? Whats after that, multiple unreliable narrators?

Honestly, I didn't hear Jay's phone go off the first time I listened to the video. I was more surprised Alex didn't hear Jay clomping up the stairs.

I had to pause the video when his phone went off so I could laugh without interrupting my viewing experience. Hehe, I mean, really Jay. It's like you just set yourself up to be found.

Also, Alex in the next room and his "Don't know why you're not answering your phone" right after the phone vibrates and right before "HEY JAY YOU LEFT YOUR FLASHLIGHT" tells me that Alex did, in fact, hear Jay's loud clunking army march up the stairs and knew he was there the whole time.
...Or he's in a Slendtrance and TO is sort of omnipotent.

One of my many, many theories is that TO is a thoughtform that originated with Alex and was spread throughout the rest of the MH crew/anyone that came into contact with him. Thinking about him makes him appear, no matter who it is doing the thinking.

This is why I really wish we had a clearer timeline for a lot of these entries. My theory about Jay leading the Maskies to Alex doesn't make sense if Entry 45 happens first, because they already know where Alex is. But it doesn't make sense to be talking about the Operator either. The drawings that were made in 44 are in this entry, and in 44 Alex filmed an encounter with the Operator. The only way I can justify Alex saying that about TO is if he was actively lying to Jay, which he might have been. I think that when Alex is outside, he sees a glimpse of a Masky and reasons that Jay led him there. The Maskies seem to be associated more with Jay than Alex, and TO more with Alex than Jay.

I thought it was hilarious when Alex goes "Hey Jay!" and Jay doesn't care that Alex found him, but is terrifed because he justt saw Slendy, because it reminds me of what I would do in the situation as Jay. Hey y'all...

Remember all the locked rooms in Brian's old house? Now we have a key. Remember the video Admission?

I think Alex had a key all along, would make sense why he kept it separate since it was such a traumatic time. And more to the point... why Jay would take it. Why it would be "key," if you will, to the current events.

The next video of Jay in the present will be him returning to that house, I believe.

After watching the video a few times I think I figured out the movement in it. Jay's in the closet, person or think walks by. Phone rings, we hear Alex. Jay's camera starts to destort and he panics, coming out of the closet and going into Alex's room. Alex comes up BEHIND HIM from the living room, grabs the tape from him and Jay grabs the flashlight from him. While the flashlight is off they move into the living room. They talk, Jay turns the flashlight on and points it back toward Alex's bedroom onto Slendy then turns and hits the door, grabs the key and runs like hell.

I kind of have to agree. I think it was Slendy that passed by.

THANK YOU!! (That was me who said that, btw). I just watched the video a fourth or fifth time and I'm pretty sure events happen like so:

1. Jay is stalkin' Alex.
2. Alex goes to "take out trash".
3. Jay takes advantage of Alex so kindly leaving the door open, stampedes inside. (Solid Snake would disapprove, btw).
4. Jay is snooping through Alex's room with the desk, drawings, book, and tape.
(Here's where it gets important to keep track of character locations. Alex is still outside preoccupied with the trash at this time).

5. We hear the front door slam. Jay makes like Clock Tower (a run-and-hide game, btw) and hides in the hall closet.

Now...
6. We see someone quietly walking by the closet.
I honestly do not see jeans. The pant legs are just too straight. I see business suit pants, and GIANT shoes and legs. You can hear the oomph the figure walks with, suggesting heavy footsteps. As I described earlier, the camera stays still, allowing whoever is walking by to steal the scene. We hear and see quiet, steady footsteps.
7. Jay is a derp and leaves his phone on, it goes off. The lights are also turned off, you can hear the switch flick.

8. Yes, we do hear Alex leaving a voice message. I don't really have an explanation for this, other than the possibility of the Operator mimicking Alex's voice. I believe there was speculation over whether or not the Operator could do this back in around entry 40 where Jay gets messages from Alex that eventually lead him to the Operator encounter in the woods. But later (42?) Alex himself acts as though he has no knowledge that the
Operator was located in the woods.

9. Jay gets out of the closet. We immediately see the Operator staring down Jay from outside the window. It's pitch black so I can't really tell where the camera is facing, but considering the blindfolds its probably the living room window that the Operator is next to.

10. It's confusing to keep track of where in the house the camera is facing at this point. It does look like Alex is coming out of the study, though.

11. After the conversation, the Operator is gone from the window. Jay turns around to find the Operator coming from the study where the figure walked towards...

...Oh wow. My head hurts. Now I can see why most people think it's Alex lol.
