Hello! Been lurking here since the start of Season 2, but I think this entry just jolted me out of un-lurking OTL So posting for the first time.

I think most of what I've wanted to say about this has already been said, but I just thought I'd like to join the discussion by adding my own 2 cents in.
To me Alex's "Help me Kill me" scribblings really does seem to indicate that he's in some way being controlled/his real personality is being suppressed, and it's agonizing to the point of wanting to die. Sad kind of terrifying really...
This whole "Eyes" thing has been popping up a lot recently it seems, with the "headlights" we've seen in TTA videos to more mad scribblings and such. The papers also seemed to have titles of other TTA videos like "Warning" and "Return". Something possibly notable in Warning is that at some point it says "Eyes Open", again, a reference to eyes. And (this is most likely just stretching to be honest) Jay's eyes were wide open in Return. I honestly don't have a good idea of how it all connects together, but I thought it was interesting.

Also, Jay. Rolling Eyes oh Jay, I love you, but goddamn. At least turn your cellphone off if you're trying to ninja into someone's house. Although with his thundering footsteps I got the distinct impression that Alex knew from that point that Jay was breaking in. I'm not sure what Jay was trying to accomplish by stalking Alex/breaking in other than some vague hint of what's up with Alex... but he did end up with the key. Now the key. I have a couple conjectures as to what it could be, in order from what I most think to what I least think:

a) a spare key to Alex's apartment, meaning Jay may break back into there in a later video.
b) A spare key to Amy's apartment from earlier, meaning Jay could investigate that house. (which, as we have found by now, never goes well for Jay....)
c) A key possibly for something important inside Alex's apartment, whether a locked door, or a locked chest, or etc.
d) A key to some safety deposit box or other such thing, but I rather doubt this as there was no indication that something like this has existed before.

Again, all just conjecture, I'm sure it'll become clear in the next few, if not the next entry what it goes to.

Aaand that's all I got for now. I'm going to get back to my homework and try not to give paranoid glances to every dark window in my home. orz
Goddammit this entry. Why do I find myself sucked into this series, I am like the biggest scaredy cat in ever. I do not understaaaaand

Great 1st post, and welcome to the forums.

This is the chronology.

Entry #44 follows Entry #43 because of Alex's phone call to Jessica saying that he met up with Amy and to disregard his last message, ie the message Alex left on her phone in Entry #43, presumably earlier that same evening.

Entry #46 does not follow Entry #45 because Entry #45 makes it clear that the events with Hoody/Tim/The Masky Brigade take place 3 months after Jay first meets Alex in Entry #35. It makes far more sense for Jay to have become immediately suspicious of Alex's refusal to let Jay see his apartment, not for Jay to have waited over 3 months to get off his ass and do something.

Remember, Jay is occasionally functionally retarded, but he's still a pretty proactive guy.

Yeah, this is probably my favorite theory on the timeline, since even for the sake of jumping forward 3 months, I doubt Alex and Jay did nothing note worthy over a 3 month period, it was just to show that the footage he just watched and uploaded was dated 3 months later that everything else he's been posting.

This also makes me think of when Alex yells "The next time you come here, I'll kill you" So maybe Alex is threatening Jay and knows he either behind the mask. Maybe when Alex looked back he saw the operator and was like "Damnit, Jay."

Followed by Alex picking up the Rock and smashing himself in the head.

I just LOVE Alex's dialogue. He's so casually annoyed.

...Gosh, I've forgotten already if we solved this (I DID read the thread), but I hear "You led it right here". Which does indicate either surprise or feigned surprise. It's a little interesting when referenced with 44, but nothing mind-blowing.

You guys typically get all the juicy stuff out before I can even sink my teeth in, but you guys seem to do it best.

I missed most of the Entry thanks to Alex's 'I was taking out the trash. What did you hope to accomplish in that amount of time?' line.

Oh, boys. Never change. Rolling Eyes

I thought about that after I posted. However, maybe he's refering to them all.

Also if referenced to 37, how you can hear "All at once" almost like hes trying to get all his pawns in one place.

So if this entry happened before #45, does that mean that TO got a hold of Alex in his apartment because Jay 'led' him there?

I personally think this is the chronology (because of the missing key), though I find it weird that it was Jay who led TO to Alex's apartment, seeing how back in the first season Slendy was seen at least twice inside Alex's previous house... so why should Slendy need to be led to Alex's new place?

In other words, Alex just said that to make it seem he still was on Jay's side...

That's something that has gone though my mind, but right now we don't have a definitive answer, I've asked on twitter, so maybe we'll get an answer, though really, I doubt it really maters since we've seen Alex go to TO before, so he probably wouldn't have a hard time finding him anyways.

At what point in Entry #45 does the Operator appear in Alex's apartment? Do you mean Entry #44?

Yeah, got them mixed up. And just realized that if #44 was before #46 then my statement made no sense, so nevermind.
Though I still find it weird that Alex says that Jay 'led him there'.

Jay's ineptitude does end up being kind of adorable, in a "dear god you're going to get yourself killed" sort of way. Laughing I honestly thought Alex was going to get violent on him after the "You forgot your flashlight!" line, and was fearing for Jay's life/face/braincells. Of course that was nothing compared to what came next... >_>

As to the "You led him here" line... It does seem a bit odd at first, but quite probably Jay at that point in time did not think Alex was in any way associated with Slendy, there being no real indication other than Alex's proclivity for secrecy/lying, so Alex saying "you led him here" was offered as an excuse/reason for Slendy to be hanging around his apartment suddenly. Perhaps this was where Jay, during those seven months, started to suspect more of Alex than just being a bit cold/secretive...? Just speculating.

Edit: Oh and by the way, thank you MorbidPuppies ;w; I rarely if ever post in forums at all, so I was a bit apprehensive.

To be fair, I thought the events of #44 were contained in #45 until I checked too.

You know, how does Jay even know where Alex lived? I feel like at this point TTA may have aproached him and they might have joined forces. After all Alex wasn't exactly treating Jay like an equal and Jay didn't like that. Jay's reaction to o-town (I'm using it because it made me laugh for hours) felt like he was getting caught more than just sheer terror.

As for Jay's "I don't know." I think he's uneasy about picking sides but has done so. He's like a puppy sometimes, I swear.
