Hey I've got a new theory regarding BONE 8/10.

Could BONE be an acronym (I think that's the word)? What would it stand for?

8/10 probably refers to something happening in August of 2010. Maybe the acronym happened in August 2010.

Oh, and regarding the tie, I'm pretty sure Slendy gets bored wearing the same tie all the time, lol. Can't wait to see him on crazy tie day! I can totally see him rocking a tie-dyed tie! O.O wait... "tie-dyed"... WUT?

I would enjoy seeing the Operator in a Bow-Tie. Laughing

'Cause bow ties are cool.

(aw man, now I've found myself wondering how EPIC it'd be to see Doctor Who take on a Slendy-esque bad guy.)

They are.

The Silence are so reminiscent of Slendy that it's a crime that in the credits Moffat didn't credit somethingawful, Marble Hornets, and unfiction.

So I can't leave my lights off because it'll be terrifying if Slendy shows up, and I can't leave my lights on because Slendy will know I'm home!

Hey guys, first time poster long(ish) time lurker.

I've seen the argument being made by multiple people that this video proves that Alex is working with Slendy and I've gotta say I disagree. We've already seen in Entry 17 (MH footage, Slendy outside window, nobody(?) remembers filming it) that the big guy is capable of, excuse the pun, masking his presence from the foolish mortals. For me this entry as well as entry #45 seem to indicate more that Alex is being "operated" and is being prevented from seeing/feeling(?) his tormentor. In this light both the "WHAT!" Alex yells when Maskie/Blasky run off at the end of #45 and the "Where are you going?" from the end of #46 make more sense; in the first case he honestly thinks he fought off his masked nemeses and in the second he's genuinely confused because, unlike Jay, he can't see Slendy anymore.

If this were indeed the case then even the Slenderman appearances in these two entries take on a different light. When he appears to the Maskies, effectively saving Alex's ass, he is sending a message to the tune of "Hey back up off my Pawn or I'll end you". When he appears to Jay it seems like more of a taunting move, like "look, I've got your friend and he doesnt even know/you cant do jack about it". This taunting seems even more likely to me considering the juke-move Slendy pulls on Jay in 46 (show of force?)

Let me know if I'm totally off base or anything, it IS pretty late for me and I've been watching just a TON of MH today Shocked

(Also can somebody explain the "summoning symbol" idea to me? Is that a thing that we've established 'cause I don't remember that at all and it would totally shoot down my theory)

Eh, there's some similarity but they still have faces. and the back-story is so entirely different on the Silence vs. Slendy. Close enough, I guess, but the Silence don't freak me out as much as Slendy.

But yeah. Ending thread-jack. Back to discussing entry 46!

When Alex is sitting around drawing and staring at walls some people think he's trying to summon TO.

That symbol is just known as the "Operator symbol" and it has three theories with it; either 1, it summons the operator, 2, it keeps him away, or 3, it's his face, or 4, something we don't know.

I guess your theory is okay to me, we'd have to wait for someone to debunk it; I just really don't like the people commenting things like "Hello Alex" on totheark's videos because it's just a theory I could never follow and it doesn't appear right to me the whole "Alex is evil" theory. I don't often theorize, I just want to see what happens with a bit o'speculation along the way.
And welcome, by the way. Not that I'm really a regular here.

There's just too many theories to stick to just one... I'm along for the ride, for now. I do think the Operator truly wants something out of Alex, but there's nothing in the series to suggest what.

That seems to be the problem with many Slenderman vlogs: what the fuck does he want, if he seems to be so focused all the time? Should this even been addressed, or will it be the thought that kills Slenderman (Nietzsche metaphor here, fellas)?

And he must be known as "The Operator" for a reason right?
