Dood. Take a pill. The jokes alleviate the rage and the fear generated by the videos themselves. Or have you not noticed the influx of pointless theories and arguments? Not to mention, the jokes start to crop up mostly once we've picked a given video apart. If we had a TTA entry, things would be more "serious" around here because there's more TO pick apart in a TTA vid than one of Jay's entries. Jay's entries are MUCH more straightforward for the most part. It's neither good nor bad -- it just is what it is.

Taking off my mod hat here for a second, 'cause this has nothing to do with official policy...

I think there is something of a problem with the level of joking when it's all that's happening. Seriously, I've read through everything posted since I logged off last night and something like 90% of it is "lol slenderman sitcom! zelda crossover! SEX JOKES YEAH!" That shit is fun sometimes, but this forum could seriously use a rebalancing of the spec-to-lulz ratio. It doesn't help that what spec IS happening is about half "your theory is bad and you should feel bad" kind of B.S., which itself needs to bloody well stop.
