Some ideas, maybe reaching.
The trailer shows a scene of a "bloody Mary" ritual. On Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Mary_%28folklore%29 it references 'Bloody Mary is often believed to be the spirit of a young mother whose baby was stolen from her, making her mad with grief, eventually committing suicide. In stories where Mary is supposed to have been wrongly accused of killing her children...Other versions tell that if one chants her name thirteen times at midnight into a mirror she will appear and the summoner can talk to a deceased person until 11:08a.m., when Bloody Mary and the dead person asked to speak to will vanish'.

Tape 1 he counts out of the temperature
"at 71...2345...we're at 75 folks...76 call it... we'll get to 80" I'm sure the count out has meaning, unsure of what. So
remembering the time stamps on Tape 6 I checked back and now it's just a fraction of the clip with the wicked smile at the trampoline.

In Tape 1 he says "no name for the boat" Wikipedia references 'Queen Mary I, also known as "Bloody Mary," whose life was marked by a number of miscarriages or false pregnancies. Speculation exists that the miscarriages were deliberately induced. As a result, some retellings of the tale make Bloody Mary the queen driven to madness by the loss of her children.' Queen Mary is also a ship with paranormal activity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Queen_Mary#cite_note-33 including an incident with an 8 year old girl.

Tape 4: The cake seems to be for a baptism, and "It's Sunday morning".

 		Hey guys, really excited to be on the front end of this. I've tried to play around with the sample videos a little bit, with the intention of trying to isolate the jumps that show up in the videos. Maybe there's a clue hidden in one of those frames... Anyways I've found that Zamzar is a pretty good tool to pull the videos off of the site and into a format that I can play with.

You can try Razz but he has been sending out that email since the site was created. I think they might be release a telephone number though since it says "Toll free" underneath. But I have a suspicion that nothing new will surface until it's closer to the release date. Which would be too bad, I was kind of hoping that this will turn out to be a huge game for all the fans of the movie. But who knows what will happen.

Something not quite right between seconds 0 and 1.
So I just saw this... I was playing tape 4 and I noticed that, before second 1, if you look at the bottom right corner of the video, while the guy is still saying something about "you took the lens cap off", you'll see what, to me, looks like a skull facing towards the cake! In other words, if it really is a skull, these people must be full blown satanists or something! And that's what the church scene is about! See below!

What do you think?

I think there's a text, begining with "YOU" in the upper part of this picture but I can't get the rest. I'll try to solve it with Photoshop.

check out the image a few messages above the this one. For a split second, before :01, on the bottom right corner of the frame, facing the cake, there is a SKULL! DUN DUN, DUN-DUN-DUN, DUUUUNNNNN!
